I am quite new but I believe that stands for "money line". I associate that mostly with betting a team straight up.

Example: the moneyline for N. Texas against LSU is (+40,000), meaning if you wager $100 and N. Texas beats LSU straight up, you win $40,000 (I believe that's correct)
Whereas the moneyline for LSU is (-120,000), meaning you would have to be $120,000 to win $100.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I just meant is anyone taking North Texas since LSU is 44 point favorite. That's a lot to cover.

I think Les will want to get Mett used to throwing the ball, leading to a lot of big passing plays. Score could get out of hand in a hurry.

If N. Texas scores a TD in garbage time, LSU would have to drop 51, which is very possible, but with the loss of practice time during the storm and the pending sloppy field coniditions, who knows what will happen.

LSU was a covering machine last season. Offense is more potent than in seasons past and Mett should play well into the 3rd quarter because he needs the reps. UNT shouldn't score, I could see us covering.

44 is a big number though...

what up guys, been lurking in here since last year. I been betting on bovada a few years now, 2 years in a row I did awesome and last year I couldnt win crap. I would win some nickels and dimes and then get real confident on games and put alot on it and lose just about everytime. My problem is now it seems that if I have no money on a game im picking winners all day but as soon as I put money on it its a loser. Hope to make some money with you this year and get outta my funk. Scratching my head on tonights games. Not sure what boise st or michigan st gonna look like but im liking the over. Starting season off in the hole with the USC game last night.

With the exception of Chem, I believe most people in this thread are taking sparty to cover.

I haven't made a play on this one.

If I do set up an account and bet this week, I would probably only put 10 or 15 bucks on north Texas. Last stupid question: when you cash out, do they mail you a check or something? How does that work?

I just find it hard to not bet Michigan State in Lansing with that defense facing a quarterback starting his first game.

The only way Boise covers is if Southwick turns out to be some kind of stud...not very likely considering he had trouble beating out a freshman a week ago.

I am eyeing the Ohio ML. I think Tettleton is great and PSU has garbage at QB. I am not buying the whole "rallying around each other" thing. I wish I would have put a bet in when the line was +15.

I agree with you, but when was this line at +15? I would have loved that.
