Updated totals:
2012
1-1, 50.0%, $105.00 profit
2011-2012

That was a bet that I believed in, but I'm a Mich fan and didn't want to bet against big blue. I need to start doing a better job of separating being a fan and making money. Thats easier said then done, because we are all football fans and have teams we love. I guess I was just torn between my wife and my girlfriend and couldn't tell which was which so I left it alone altogether.

I'd bet a crap ton against LSU if the spread was right. Then again most would call me disloyal

I wouldn't call you disloyal, I just hate feeling that way. When my heart pulls for a team, and my wallet pulls for the other or vice versa, I'm miserable. Either way I end up upset. Like I said, I need to decide whether I'm a fan or a gambler and act accordingly. My gambling side knew Bama was gonna kill 'em. I've watched too many Mich games and seen too much of Bama to think differently, but yet I couldn't pull the trigger on Bama. At least I realize that though, and avoid those games altogether.

I guess I just don't share the same sentiment. I'll root against my team for money. They would certainly sell me out for it

I dont bet Bama unless I'm taking us as the favorite or total. Won't even take an underdog, cause I hate hoping we don't score more points. But that's just me.

thanks to that damn Mich St game where they kneeled on the 3
Starting the season down $100 cuz of that
I'm on GA Tech with everyone. It seems like VT loses the first game every year. I can't believe I didn't tail F2F on Miami. Guess I just wanted to make sure he didn't do too much blow during the offseason and lose his touch.

I'll speak of the most unholy of blasphemies only this once. I bet Bama -1 in the BCS championship game for the same amount as my ticket/travel/hotel to attend the game. Figured I didn't mind paying double if LSU won and wanted it to be free if they didn't. Emotional hedging isn't worth it, even when a 14* bet cashes.

Yep, it was a nail biter. All the way through the first quarter.

I do the same thing.
If Ole Miss or Florida have a real close money line I will throw down on the either team as much as I would be willing to pay to win the game. So if Ole Miss wins screw the money we pulled the upset. But if the other team wins (the more common of the two) at least I make some money.

aVatiger gave a breakdown a few pages back.
quote:
tech lost eight (maybe 9?) starters on offense, but their QB and best WR is back, they have a good experienced D that will be able to stop the GT rush attack GT is gonna run the ball better than they did last year, they return a bunch of starters on offense and they defense is better.. it wasn't great last year, but it should be better this year
currently in SW Va we are feeling whats left of issac, it is gonna be a slick field
U48.5 (grab it before it goes down) and GT +7.5 are the plays

Just to clarify that quote, the first "Tech" is Virginia Tech. It confused me when I first read it.
