That may have been the case ten years ago, but that program has been rolling at all time great status for a long time.
I seriously doubt they have to break out the bag of tricks to get the talent on campus. These kids and their families know that going to play for Bama and Saban increases their chances at a chance in the NFL exponentially.

I mean I don't think Mac will be any great shakes as a pro QB and I have said that repeatedly on here, but rooting for him to fail just b/c he went to Bama is just a new level of cringe.

Interesting. I could not care less where an athlete played college ball once they reach the NFL. I don’t pull for LSU but that doesn’t affect me liking Burrow and wanting him to succeed.

I actively rooted against Tom Brady because he was the consummate goliath, and the favorite to win every game.
