No need to apologize. Some may be a little more random, but they generally try and pair them with some sort of reasoning at the PGA. I believe they always pair the first 3 major winners together. They'll often pair former PGA winners together, and then just like any other PGA tournament they try and create featured groups with good players together.

I don't really get this line of thinking. I guess technically you can say it is the least relevant of the 4 and have a leg to stand on. But, it just seems like you are saying you won't watch it because it is pointless. There are 4 majors a year. So, 4 weeks out of 52, there is a huge golf tournament. It's not like we are oversaturated with majors. Also, this isn't some new age tournament that they just whipped up to complete the set of majors. This is the 99th playing of the tournament. Also, I think the pairing of the first 3 major winners is one of the cooler traditions in the sport (even if they just started doing this recently. Not sure how long this has been going on).

I've been waiting for this week Played the Straits course almost two months ago and had a blast. The course was lush and played a little slow because they didn't want to burn it out before the tournament, but everything was still rolling true. The fairways felt like you were walking on padded carpet.

#3...I almost aced it. I would have been naked and jumping in to Lake Michigan if it went in. Ended up with a 2 footer for bird.

Thinking about doing the same. May just stay in Kohler and drive to and from Green Bay the day of the game.
Straits and Erin Hills are definitely worth the money/trip.
