Every one of those years there was only 5 people ahead of the eventual champion after round one. There are already 7 ahead of Tiger with the entire afternoon wave on the course. Tiger will be no better that 15 and probably around 20th after today.

Feel free to throw in the US Open last year when Justin Rose was 4 shots back and behind 15 guys but still ended up winning the tournament. Tiger's behind 7 guys right now and by the end of the day worst case scenario I'd say he'll be behind 15. He definitely isn't out of it Stash.
