I was at nationwide last Friday when CBJ played the Blackhawks. It was an awesome game but they gave up the losing goal with like 3 seconds left. Also the arena was like 40% Chicago fans which was ridiculous

Dallas needs to beat the reeling Blues tonight.

Dallas wins tonight vs Blues and they are in.

Dallas gets 1 point tonight then Phoenix still has a chance. Not only would Pho have to win both of their remaining games (vs Sharks on Sat; vs Dallas on Sun), but they'd have to beat Dallas in regulation since Dallas holds the tie breaker. Beating Dallas in OT/SO would give Dallas a point also which would end the season in a tie.

Can you imagine the intensity of that final game if Pho only way to get in is to win in regulation? Especially if they go into the 3rd period down by one...those final 20 minutes would be crazy.

Phoenix is doing exactly what Dallas has done the last two seasons: be in a playoff spot in the last few weeks of the season and then go on a 5-7 game losing streak to end the season and get eliminated from postseason.

Edit: and to include what baloo just said: if dallas loses to the Blues tonight, Phoenix still needs to get a point from the Sharks on Saturday and then beat Dallas on Sunday.

Apparently CBJ are only selling tickets to people with Ohio addresses until April 15, or so I read. Not sure how accurate/possible this is.

Its acurate, and similar to what Seattle did vs San Fran.

Pretty backhand goal in the Dallas vs StL game by Daley on a breakaway. Stars up 1-0 with 14 mins to go in the second.

Tampa defeats CBJ 3-2.

Carolina defeats Detroit 2-1.

CBJ stays in #7 slot, Detroit #8.

Philly with a win tomorrow can clinch 6 seed.

PP goal by Seguin. Dallas up 2-0 with 8 mins left in the 2nd period. They've dominated this entire game other than about 3-4 minutes at the end of the 1st.

Edit: dallas out shooting StL 15-5 in the 2nd period with 7 mins still to go. The puck has been on their side of the ice all period.

Stars officially punch their ticket, 3-0 over St. Louis.

Glad to see whatever the choking disease Romo has isn't contagious to the other teams in Dallas anymore.

Blues have lost 5 straight now, dropped to 3rd in the West and are looking at facing the Blackhawks right now.

Although the score didn't show it,
that was the most dominating performance by the Stars all season. Stl only had 6 shots on goal in the 2nd period and then went like 10 mins into the 3rd until their first shot of that period. That game could have gotten really ugly.

That loss eliminates them from the top seed too. It's between Anaheim & Colorado now.

How many of those players out for the playoffs? Most should be back, correct?

Even with most of them back I'm still taking Blackhawks.

I agree. Def don't think it's Anaheim. And for some reason I'm not confident in Colorado either.

Its so great to see the Stars back in the playoffs. This team will be a regular figure in post season play for years to come.

Patrick Freaking Roy.

quote:

goalie Semyon Varlamov surpassing his coach with a franchise-record 41 single-season wins, and the Avs’ 52nd win, tying the Cup team of 2000-01 with most in club history.

This remarkable team that is playing a defenseman as a fourth-line forward is on a 8-0-1 tear and just flat-out remarkable, and will shockingly enter its final two regular-season games with the Central Division title and No. 1 Western Conference playoff seed within sight. If the Avs, now tied with St. Louis atop the Central, finish 2-0 (regulation wins) they will earn at least a share of the Central title and the division’s No. 1 playoff seed, and also overtake Anaheim for the best record in the west. Yes, this is the same that finished last in the conference a year ago.
