Vegas with 2 lucky goals tonight. Definitely feels like they've outplayed Carolina for 3 straight games though. They deserve the series lead.

Boys, get pucks to the net and good things happen. We teach that from the time they're 8 years old. Get pucks near the net and make plays. Get pucks to the net.

That was a dirty goal and sucks it ended that way, but Vegas got the puck down low by the net and shite happens.

Hate to see it end like that but it doesn’t matter how the puck gets in the goal. Could have gone either way. But what a game.

Just watched the replay on SC. That is a play. Shot from the point when there's too much traffic in front of the net you fire it wide of the net for a rebound off the boards that comes out front.

It's a play, it's lucky, but it was intentional.

I'm literally out of words...and nitro pills.

It's cliche' AF but there are truly no bad shots in OT.

Deeper dive on this about how rinks are constructed. I'm most youth hockey rinks the kicker board at the bottom of the boards is one piece. In upper level rinks, like a USHL rink we practice/play on, there is a thicker piece at the bottom of the boards that is there for cleaner bumps and rebounds. It's different. The puck pops off it. A flat pass or shot comes off it clean and the rebound effect is greater.

Just saying, these guys at the pro level know that. They'll test the boards in warmups for rebound effect or any other inconsistencies, like if you rim the puck is there a door there that is a bit off that makes the puck kick out. Stuff like that.

Yeah, that was a flat shot that hit the kicker board and popped right out in front, then the circus show happens.

I'm familiar with Messier. But the other guy is talking over him. Was he an all star or is he more like Biz on the TNT broadcasts?

That’s really just his personality. Having played his position, he was one of my favorites back in the day.

End of the day, he just didn’t win a Cup.

Side note: like Tiger, he also dated Lindsay Vonn.

P.K.'s brother Malcolm Subban played goalie for the VGK during their first 3 seasons. He had something of an inconsistent reputation during regulation but if you got him into OT and especially shootouts, he was extremely effective.

messier was NOT a D man.

PK was a real good player.

won the norris trophy in 2013 with my habs. best D man in the league that season. huge contributor. great competitor.

im not outta $$$$$$$$$$$$

vegas covers my wager +1.5

just please never ever choke a 2 goal and almost a 4 goal lead away again in b2b games. vegas should be up 3-0 in this series.

win game 4 and take a stranglehold on this damn series.

Haha thats solid. I havent bought an NHL game in 3 years. They seem to be stuck in the same gameplay loop from the EA Play trial i used this year.

Not even close.

Subban was at best, a 3rd pair Defenceman and Messier is one of the greatest winners of all-time in any sport.

they played two powder puff teams 1st 2 rounds.

montreal played two beastly teams and was worn out plus had major flaws.

most all here picked the avs to win it all.

vegas will win it all

i have zero doubt

So you're rolling on the floor laughing because I picked a team that made the Finals and most everyone else picked the Avalanche? Ok.

I know not playoffs, but best place to post this

Dylan Larkin (~9 million cap hit for multiple years into contract) captain of Red Wings requested a trade with a full no-trade clause, now says he only wants to go to Florida, Minnesota, or Vegas
