How does Skinner let himself get in that position so far out? Smith was coming in on a bad angle. That was on the goalie IMO

Well, this game is over. If I were DeBoer I would call off the dogs, retreat and start to focus on Game 4.

Also, can someone explain to me why you don’t still get the power play after a delayed penalty? You aren’t yet on the power play if you score. That rule has never made sense to me. You scored 5v5, not with an advantage

Well the team will pull their goalie to get the sixth skater on the ice because the play is dead once the other team gains possession of the puck.
It doesn’t happen often, but it’s hilarious when a team pulls their goalie on the delayed penalty call and up scoring on themselves. Typically a hard missed pass that goes down the ice into their own net.

The team does have several advantages. As mentioned, they get a 6th skater. And they know they don't have to protect the store for a breakaway since when the pick is played by the penalized team there's a stoppage.

The thing is, it wasn’t directly kicked in — it took some more ricochets. The replay guys don’t even know what to do. I guess they’re trying to see if it hit his stick after.
