Probably should do that, youre already a step ahea by having Peytons token White reciever

Yall screwed yourselves though, the Broncos leaked out that they will cut Tebow if they cant trade him. Thats gives denver no leverage or ability to get something out of Tebow

I just hope we dont get him. Too much media following for the waste of a roster spot he would bring

Nice enoug of Denver to pay him that money....

Better hope they sign him some players... Willis isn't the answer at RB, Decker/Thomas may be good with Peyton but not elite, no TE, offensive line is average, defense gave up 40+ what 5 times last year and Manning can't fix that part....

Good move on paper, but what Belichick move doesn't look good on paper?

Its more of a depth move than anything

Waters and Mankins are the starters at Guard and will stay that way barring injury (im assuming Waters is coming back I cant remember if he said if he was or not yet)

ETA im more curious about the Stallworth move. Really curious how the WR depth chart wIll pan out. Somegood WRs are going to get cut

I think he has a year or so left in him as a fringe starter, but he hit a decline in Seattle. His groin injury could have had something to do with it, but Seattle with their Guard questions(talent wise, not who will play there) and Tom Cable, his biggest supporter, gave up on him.

He'd be an ok weakest link starter...

ETA: Stallworth has 9 lives, his speed keeps him around.

I haven't seen anyone say this...

However, he certainly gives us a better chance to win than Tim Tebow.

We were 40 million under the cap before Free Agency. That won't be a proble.

hell they just hoping Champ can play till he is 50

He'll probably still be running a 4.4 when he turns 50... There's no reason to trade him at this point. He's still a top 5 corner in the NFL, and you could argue a top 3.

You don't bring in Manning unless you believe he is missing piece from championship, not at the 95 million reported and we have no idea the guaranteed money. Would have been best to roll over the cap money and make a play next year/this year to fill other holes on team is cr they have more than just QB. San Fran/Hou made most sense as they were on cusp, Denver is not and their schedule this year isn't easy.

Looks like nothing more than PR move, heard reports Knowshon will be cut and possible Clark/Addai headed to Denver.

Or because he gives you the best chance to get to the SB.

We still have cap room.

We won a playoff game last season, so it's not like we were a horrible team that has no chance this season.

Denver is not

You're bashing this move a pretty good bit now, since it wasn't supposed to happen in the first place (and Peyton was just "being nice" by giving Denver a look)...

Might as well trade for Freeny as well, just import entire Colts roster

Would be an "OK" type of sign...

Brandon Stokley

Meh, but him and Peyton have chemistry. Won't be a starter, just a role player.

Addai

We are in need of RB...

Dallas Clark

Need a replacement for the TE that just left us, though he wasn't great.

Surround Peyton with some familiar players. Good idea on paper, IMO.

frick copy and paste on phone....

He doesn't get Denver to the Super Bowl, you said it yourself you "backed" into playoffs last year. The offense wasn't good with and without Tebow (so can't blame entire problems on him despite personal hate) the defense was just as bad despite a 6 game stretch where they played better.
Many of premier and second tier FA have signed else where leaving market thin on starters just retreads and back ups. Might as well bring in BJG to compete at RB. A few LB are available but Miller/Mays occupy the LB corps not sure on third/fourth. Secondary got burnt, your opinion is Champ is still top 3/5 others would disagree but he is still above average. However he is what kid to late 30's at this point and no telling when drop off occurs, when that happens Denver secondary is screwed.

Your opinion, which means nothing at this point because the season hasn't even started. Noone can tell at this point. We could, and we couldn't . Everyone will have to sit back and watch.

OK... You don't think they can improve with Peyton Manning? If healthy, he will turn around the offense.

quote:

despite personal hate

? ? ?

I don't have personal hate. I wish him well. But he still sucks, and it is what it is.

I'm aware.

DJ Williams, who has been our best LB for a good chunk of years. Von Miller might surpass him this season, but DJ has made some PRO Bowls.

quote:

Secondary got burnt

Yup, and it was against teams that burnt everyone. Packers, Pats, Lions... Not to mention, Brian Dawkins getting hurt and us starting 2 Rookie safties play a big part in that. Von Miller brekaing his thumb also took back a notch with our pass rush.

quote:

your opinion is Champ is still top 3/5 others would disagree but he is still above average

Not many would disagree, unless they just wanted to argue. He's way above average.

quote:

when that happens Denver secondary is screwed.

OR, we will just trade or draft some more players. We won't be screwed.
