Virginia's region is sneaky tough.

West is so easy.

If you try to play an up tempo game against you they will kill you. It is how they beat Louisville twice. They are terrible in a slow paced game where a team defends the paint well.

I love the Midwest Region. It's impossible to pick someone.....well except Wichita State. Obviously it won't be Wichita State. Tough for them.

Memphis' problem isnt the players. It is the coaching. JP has no concept of switching out plans or trying to develop an identity. He tries to just let his players emotions and fast pace win it.

Depends on if we can carry that momentum from the SEC Tournament over.

We can't sleep on Kansas State though. Getting the 8 seed is going in fricking dry when you consider some of the seeds other teams got.

The West is a grab bag. 9 teams capable of getting hot and winning it.

I can not figure out this UK team at all. Cal has tried both styles of game management and it seems to work, but they just dont seem to have bought into the offense for some reason.

ETA:

If UK can find a go to guy who will be selfish and want the ball they can end up winning their region, IMO.

Did you watch them at all in the SEC Tournament? They've been a totally different team the last 3 games.

I'm not saying they win it all, but they're certainly in better shape then they were before the post-season started.

They played against primarily zone for like 90% of the season. Once teams switched back to playing man on them they kind of panicked. They looked much better in the conference tourney. Andrew Harrison set a career high for assists in their first game and then in their second game.

I did watch them play yesterday. That is why I cant figure them out. They dont have a guy who seems to want to take over, they are sharing almost too much. He (Cal) is not going ballistic, and they responded, like they did when he was early.

I just think they have got to find one guy who wants to carry them and score 20 plus. Keep playing defense like they are.
