well Mike Joy is officially an idiot for his comments on the catch fence. I mean you could see from TV that parts of Carl's car went into the stands and my sister just confirmed it. They were carrying someone out on a stretcher after being hit by a piece of Carl's car. She also took pictures of the person on the stretcher and the fence. Said the fence was just completely laying down against the stands where Carl hit. I hope that person is alright but damn if that catch fence would have gave anymore there would have been atleast 60 people dead there.
And BTW was is just me or did it seem more like Carl did the whoel run the finish line in an attempt to win some fans over? Nothing about that screamed he was doing it for any honest reasons really

another change will come out now on restriction plate races, they need to move the fans back, but dont change the rules or cars anymore.

People have been saying for the alst few years that something has to be done at Daytona and Talladega. As much as I love the racing there, this may force NASCAR's hand if there are any serious injuries.

thats not true..they showed the area on tv...the fence is broken, but it isn't laying down.

Not true. The wreck that ended his career (and nearly killed him) was several years later at Pocono. The crossover gate to let the trucks across the track hadn't been closed all the way, and he hit it head on.
