I thought we got hosed in that trade. His time in Seattle has definitely softened the blow.

Ackley was taking once he got called up again last year, I wouldn't mind if Yankees could acquire him

Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that Volquez has agreed to a one-year, $5 million deal, which is pretty nice money for someone coming off a 5.71 ERA.

As long as he brings the HGH to New York.

He went back to sucking the last month of the season. I wouldn't mind giving him a shot though. He has a career .912 OPS in Yankee Stadium (only 49 PA)

Nice deal for the Bucs. Excellent bounce-back candidate.

Reports of Rangers offering Choo 7 years but less than the 153 million Ellsbury got. Also, O's made offers to Nelson Cruz and Grant Balfour

Excellent. By the time the Astros are ready to compete again, the Rangers Mariners and Angels are gonna be so loaded down with shitty contracts and old players, we'll only have to battle with the A's.

FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal reports that the Astros are in “serious discussions” with free agent Michael Morse. If he goes to Houston, he’ll be reunited with Bo Porter, who was the third base coach during his time with the Nationals.

Wouldn't hate it. He's definitely had trouble staying healthy and given his injury history, I think the 7 or 8 million he was looking for is a bit steep. He's really only had 1 season where he's played the whole year. 9 seasons, 573 games. Plus wrist injuries can be lingering.
That being said, Luhnow seems adamant signing a 1st base type and if they get Morse on a 1 or 2 year deal he might be a bargain if he can reestablish something near 2011.

Yanks turned down Gardner for BP offer from Reds.
Good move by Cashman. Yanks can do better. Need to trade Gardner for a starter.

Yeah he has limited no trade clause and Yankees are on the list, so the only way he would agree is if he got a new contract. He has 4 years/50 million left on his current deal and he is 32.
