Series is over I think.
Just hope NYR do not win it.

The KING played great last night. Watching highlights now as I had to work until 10.
I can understand your frustration, but I am shocked that the Rangers didn't score more goals. New kid did alright last night.
Nash actually scored a goal when it mattered.

Ohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohplease....
Pierre as the GM of the Pens kills two birds with one stone for me. I couldn't be so lucky.

Sounding like Paul Fenton is the leading candidate.
That was a good troll by the news station for Pierre though, some twitter reaction was hilarious and pure gold.

So is Bylsma safe or is a GM going to get hired first to determine his fate?
Posted on 5/21/14 at 3:11 pm to kilo
He's gone. Just waiting for the new GM to fire him himself and get his own guy.

Yeah, they are just preventing other teams from interviewing him. (cough) (Caps) (cough) Which, to be honest, is pretty smart. It's petty and spiteful towards Bylsma, but he'll find a job next year. They are just preventing him from getting one this year, at the expense of a divisional rival.
Pierre McGuire was an assistant GM once. It did not go well, unless you mean from a comedic standpoint. He was also the coach, and he is still among the gold standards for crappy coaches in NHL history. He wasn't as crappy of coach as Mike Milbury was a GM, but he's in the ballpark.

Boston honored their end of the bet today...

Yep.

Yeah, that was just a solid troll by that news channel. "UPDATED: Apparently Pierre said on TSN690 in Montreal that he has no interest in the job out of respect for Ray Shero, who he is close friends with".
I still think it will be Paul Fenton of Nashville, as do some Pitt insiders. But who knows. Have also seen the TB AGM Julien BriseBois a LOT as well.

Turns out Boston was NOT being a bunch of tools. That is the flag Montreal sent them. Make bigger flags, Habs.

The Penguins might not have the services of their top prospect when the 2014-15 season begins.
Defenseman Derrick Pouliot, the eighth overall pick of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, will miss the next four to six months after undergoing shoulder surgery Wednesday, the team announced.
Pouliot's surgery, which was conducted by Dr. Dharmesh Vyas at a UPMC facility, was necessary because of a “shoulder labral repair,” according to the Penguins.
Pouliot recently was named the Western Hockey League's Defenseman of the Year after producing 70 points during the regular season and another 32 during the WHL playoffs.

LOTS OF NOISE ON BRISEBOIS
As I reported yesterday, Tampa Bay Lightning assistant GM Julien BriseBois will interview for the Penguins this week and the Penguins are looking very hard at him. Sources say ownership has gotten very strong recommendations about BriseBois and not just from people working for the Tampa Bay Lightning. If they want a guy similar to Botterill but without the Shero ties, he's their guy.

Totally ridic. A puck got behind Quick and Regin got crosschecked into the goal behind him, but somehow Regin's stick kept the puck out. Appeared to defy physics there.

A shame we couldn't get a better camera angle on that play.

Blackhawks score a minute later on PP, anyway.

Smith cherry pick sniper on a counterattack. Lights out, Kings.

3-2 Kings, where are their fans at?!
Posted on 5/21/14 at 9:28 pm to Bunk Moreland
Bars watching game? There's only what, 2 in here?
Posted on 5/21/14 at 9:29 pm to UltimateHog
Good point. Another ridic goal, Blackhawks quit on the play because they thought a puck hit the netting, so the Kings popped it back into the slot and scored.
