Its cool to support your local players and I would even listen to an argument thats hes #1 cuz you can make that.....but no way you can say "its not even close".....really?

Not trying to start shite but I don't ever see you post on the MSB and this is an awful first impression. If you honestly believe CP3 is not a top 5 pg in the league you should have kept that opinion to yourself or saved it for another time. Posting this after a loss like the Hornets took is flat out flaming the board but on top of that it's just ignorant. I have never heard a logical basketball fan say that CP3 is anything but a top 2 pg in the league. This is just dumb

Isn't that what the MVP is based on!
Dude you are crazy if you think he is not a top 5 point guard. Winning in the postseason is about the best team, MVP is not, although you do need to have a good team to even be recognized.

Absolutely......that is exactly what CP3 could be one day the regular season MVP....in fact I see him paralleling Dirk Nowitzki in his prime pretty closely....one of the top 2-3 players at his position but never able to win a title

480 isn't a rational bball fan. he rarely posts on the MSB, but when he does he posts some gems. you should have seen his top ten players in the league list

There is only 1 other pg in the league who has a discussion with CP and he is not better as good as he is IMO. This is up there with the dumbest things I have seen posted as a thread topic on this board

You are going to start hearing it more and more. Look at the playoffs this year...besides Kobe and Lebron all of the studs have been PGs. Rondo,Rose, and Parker are turning in amazing performances while Paul is doing nothing. Last night he had more turnovers than assists or points. And yes....I know he was double teamed but that doesnt excuse his lack of defense. Ive never seen someone so lazy getting back to defend fast breaks in my life. Quite frankly I dont see why you are all defending some guy who is too lazy to even play defense in the playoffs.
And at least one good thing has come from this thread so far..a lot of people are willing to admit he isnt the best PG in the league....thank god for that. The love for Paul on here is homerism at its finest.

I'm not even a big Hornets fan, but just wanted to say you're an idiot if you don't think CP3 is at top 5 PG in the league. Have you even paid attention to his supporting cast (or lack of)? Wow, just wow.

I am a die hard Rockets fan. Don't give a shite about the Hornets and I am telling you he is undoubtably the best point guard in the league. DWill has a discussion with him but that is it. You got people to say he is not the best point guard the same night they took their biggest loss in franchise history, congratz. Think there might have been a few kneejerk reactions from some of those Hornets fans? I have zero emotional attachment to what happened to the Hornets tonight so as a voice of reason from someone who follows the NBA year round I am telling you, you are dead wrong on this topic and it's not even debatable.

CP is having a bad series but he is a great point guard in the playoffs and the reg season
Last season playoff numbers:
24ppg-11aspg-4rpg-2spg
Stop flaming!!
I can respect when someone says D-will is better than CP even though i don't agree but to say Rose and Rondo are better is a joke.

I have to disagree with you on this one!!! There is NO question that CP3 is the best PG in the game. Put it this way, If he was on the Jazz they would be a #2 seed at worst.

i don't think so PJ. You could have used just about any of the other 2-8 seeds and I could see the argument but the Jazz have a great pg and CP3 would not make them that much better.

Boom. I'm ready! I'm going to try my hardest to make at least one of the games in Houston. On another note, I'm moving to Htown in August.

I'm guessing you don't watch very much basketball. paul led the league in assists and steals and was top 20 in points. yeah, he isn't a top 5 PG
Paul's stats vs. Williams, Rose, Rondo, Billups and Parker:
@DEN 22 points, 10 assists, 3 steals
@BOS 20 points, 14 assists, 3 steals
SAN 19 points, 12 assists, 3 steals
@DEN 30 points, 11 assists, 3 steals
@UTA 26 points, 7 assists, 1 steal
DEN 12 points, 10 assists, 4 steals
@SAN 38 points, 4 assists, 1 steal
CHI did not play
BOS 13 points, 8 assists, 1 steal
@UTA 24 points, 7 assists, 1 steal
@CHI 29 points, 6 assists, 0 steals
DEN 19 points, 13 assists, 2 steals
SAN 26 points, 9 assists, 2 steals
UTA 19 points, 12 assists, 1 steal
@SAN 26 points, 14 asists, 2 steals
I think I caught all the games. Now do you want to retract your statement that he can't get it done vs. the best PG's in the league?
