I get that. But we’re talking about a guy sprinting 25 yards to move the ball back a half yard.

There needs to be a better process in fire drill situations.

Looking back, I think it’s silly that the clock runs in the last 2 minutes while a ref tries to spot the ball. That said, I don’t even have issue with the play call. Dak’s gotta know he can’t take that extra yardage. Just get 7 yards and slide.

You don't just get free yards because you spot the ball yourself

Dak is supposed to give the ref the ball. If Dak wouldn’t be an idiot that situation would’ve never happened.

Cowgirls fans in the game thread.

Wasn't the U's fault. He has to spot the ball properly before the play can be run.

These dudes think you can just call “ball lock” like you’re playing in the street.

You going to let players spot the ball?

You see no problem with that?

Dallas fans.

No timeouts
QB run to middle of field
Hand ball to center with 2 seconds left
Umpire has to set it for play, not center
Time runs out

Umpire's fault, of course

Said it in the game thread, but Dallas needs to focus on bringing in players who can read, write, and have above average intelligence. This 2021-22 Cowboys team could very well be the most imbecilic group of people ever put together.

There are actual people here who think the ref does not have to spot the ball The Center moved the ball a full yard ahead

I’m not saying that. Have another ref spot the ball. Why the umpire that is literally lined up 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage?

These guys apparently think the center just puts the ball wherever he wants.
