Worst event in a long time name wise. I’d be pissed if I was SLC will be interested to see if slc pays them to come back next year

It sucks, I hardly recognize anyone anymore. I was lucky that I got into it during the golden age in the late 2000s.

Conspiracy hat thinks Dana intentionally tanked the event, giving them the worst PPV in memory, so they would stop offering the event b/c no fighters want to go there and fight at altitude. Add that to the fact that wacky shite always happens at SLC.
The event feels like it has a stigma now.
Of course I'm sure fighters just love going to fricking mid-east GCC nations full of bizarre perverted, creepy arse shieks, Dagestani mobs, 9 HR, time diff, no booze, 120 degrees year round, and Iranian missles 500 miles away, but hey, what do I know.

This is always such a weird complaint to me. Like of course it’s not the same fighters as there were 20 years ago people do age right? Are we supposed to trot Chuck Lidell out there till he’s 50? If you keep up with it you know the fighters and there’s just as many big names now as there were back then and they’re more skilled.
