Dunno but the fact y’all are still hung up on Saban after all of this time says a lot

it says Saban coaches in a conference with real defenses and needs a qb who can pass against real defenses.

He’s already had 2 Heisman trophy winners and 2 QBs at Bama finish 2nd in Heisman voting

That saban is a great recruiter to have 2 of the best college qbs on the roster at the same time

It says Alabama faces way better defenses than Oklahoma does.

Lincoln Riley is one of the best quarterback coaches and offensive coordinators in America; Riley wouldn't have pursued Hurts if he didn’t think that Hurts could either master his system or tailor his system to Hurts’ strengths. Jalen Hurts might not be a superstar in his offense but he will be good.

I remember when we were replacing Miles or about topeople were downvoting the hell out of people suggesting Riley as a candidate because he hasn’t been a HC before

Nothing. He picked the best QB to play. FTR, I like both Tua & Hurts but he couldn’t keep them both. I expect Hurts to have a strong year at OU, same for Tua.

Riley’s not gonna like how his system looks if Hurts is running around 80 percent of the game instead of making the correct reads in the passing game

Do you think Lincoln Riley might know a thing or two about coaching quarterbacks?

Do you think that it’s possible that not every QB he touches will turn into gold?

Any good QB will do great in that system with the porous defense played in that conference.Huge running lanes and very wide open receivers.I expect him just like Baker and Kyler in New York for the Heisman ceremony.

Or maybe it says more about how good Lincoln Riley is?

If OU loses a game they shouldn't, it's not going to be because of their offense.

He has a career 62% completion percentage.

It's not elite but it's more than adequate.

I remember this because I was one of the ones that suggested it.

What I got was some uppity "we're not hiring a coordinator to be our HC" comments.

And then we hire a position coach and all is well.

He may be, but as long as he can get a transfer each season like Mayfield, Murray, and Hurt, his job has been pretty easy.

Will say more about Riley’s legacy than Saban’s

This might come as a bit of a shock, but Saban’s legacy was cemented a few National Championships ago
