Florida State
Miami
Virginia Tech
NC State

These schools should in no way be in the shape they are in. NC State year after year seems to bring in guys that go in the 1st Round of the Draft but they always end up being a 7-5/6-6 type team. Miami and FSU have the history and tradition in a talent rich state to be top ranked programs. Virginia Tech has the resources and in a fertile recruiting area where they should be better and a consistent top 20 team. Right now the AAC has more ranked teams than the ACC and that is an embarrassment. This league needs to get its shite together.

Remember when Miami and VT jumping from
the Big East was going to upset the balance of power in CFB

FSU did beat Louisville this year, so they have that going for them.

Well the problem is Miami has been hiring bad coaches for years now. I don't know what FSU was thinking hiring Taggart.

Their AD made a point to hire all AA coaches.

Maybe hiring winning coaches would have been a better plan.

It's a basketball conference. Duke football could be ranked #1, and the stadium would be half empty.

NC State’s last ACC football championship was 1979. UNC’s was 1980. Unreal.

Add Georgia Tech to your list and the ACC would have a balanced league.

Miami deemphasized football awhile back. You can not be good at something your higher ups don't care for.

Not just NC State but several of the Carolina schools on paper look like they should be able to be consistent with 8-4 or 9-3 type of years.

Va tech also just fell off. We will see if Coach fuente can right the ship

FSU and Miami made bad coaching hires. VT is the most confusing. Fuente looked like he was going to be really good after two years. It seems like that loss to Old Dominion last year broke that program. They had a ton of guys transfer out for reasons unknown.

Louisville looks like they made a good coaching hire. If they can keep Satterfield, they're going to be a really tough out in the ACC.
