You would have to think a Marta station would have to be in one of the possible proposals if this were to come to fruition.

The Thrashers WERE the 3rd time. Atlanta Knights were successful but moved to Quebec between the Flames and Thrashers.

attendance was never the issue here,

Thrashers weren't even top 20 in attendance during their only playoff season.

Like I said earlier, attendance could of been better, but it wasn't the reason they moved, it was shitty ownership.

The Atlanta Spirit and the NHL did Atlanta wrong, everyone knows it. Another battery type setup in Alpharetta would be absolute money. The Braves made 600 million this past season, 55 off the battery alone.

The Braves/Battery is an absolute trend setter. It changed how teams pursue revenue.

Other teams are looking to copy what the Braves have done. That is the highest complement.

I'll never forget Jeff Schultz saying while he was still at the AJC that it would never work b/c of traffic and the Braves should never move to Smyrna and the AJC actually tried to do hit pieces on why the Battery would fail and how traffic would be apocalyptic. They eventually gave up that ghost when people weren't buying their bullshite.

frick the AJC.

The Thrashers outdrew the hawks in average attendance several seasons all while most of their fans came from OTP. The few years they were good they had regular sellouts on Fridays and Saturdays.

I know that baw. Move them back or make them again I don’t care how. We need Brass Bonanza back in the NHL.

I would envision them building it to stop just south of Haynes Bridge. Service this potential arena and the amphitheater then bus to Avalon or Windward. I live within 5 miles of all this and hope it has legs. I was a Hawks season ticket holder a few years from up here, and I couldnt imagine having frequented a 7pish start time from afar without something to avoid 400 and the connector.

I would buy tickets. Never a big hockey fan but when in town (lived in SAV during Thrashers years), I went and loved it live. They would print money from this.
