He was hyped as the next big thing in Dallas (think Miro level but on a smaller scale) and just never did anything despite how long he got here. Went overseas, played well there to build that hype up again and then came back to Dallas to do absolutely nothing once more

Ah, I see. Honestly, I just started following hockey in 2018 (went to my first game in COL vs NSH G3 in the Pepsi Center), so I didn't know he was supposed to be all that great. Then I got Avs season tickets (they have some stupid arse cheap tickets) for 2018-2019, and I have been hooked since.

I always liked him. Just hated Getzlaf. Getzlaf is a guy I almost hate more than Sid and Kreider. But I hate Lucic and any other Bruin more
