Game would be cancelled if it was the NBA.

It was a fun game last night my wife was like "Calvert's back" and I was like no way, sure enough that little ginger was flying all over the place. The building erupted when he scored, especially because of all the fricking Rangers fans that were talking shite when they tied it.

I remember a game, where Brendan Shannaha was with Blues and Keith Tkachuk was with Original Winnepeg Jets team.

Tkachuk the dirty player he was, high sticked Shannahan, and he took about 50-60 stitches to his mouth and lip, his lip was literally dangling off his face.

He came back in 2nd period, scored a power play goal, and then beat the frick out of Tkachuk, he made that idiot turtle. Crowd was out of its mind, going crazy.

Blues had a goon on the team, but Shanny told him while leaving the ice, bleeding every where, that tkachuk was his, no matter how long or many stitches it took.

I still don't know why they don't wear cages or face shields. Wear one and he doesn't leave the game. Probably scores twice.

Back in the day I was at an Avalanche game, the first row behind the Avalanche bench, and they sewed a guy up about 36 inches from me. He never left the bench and he never missed a shift. He did not give a single frick. He flirted with Mrs Pimp right in front of me , lol.

Hockey players aren't only tougher than NFL players, they are more comitted to the ethic of their sport. "How do you feel about your game winning goal?"---"I just threw it at the net and it took a lucky bounce". It's that combination of toughness and humility that makes them the most admirable professional athletes in the world.

It's the culture of the sport. If you are going to even miss a shift you better be either dead or on life support. Anything less and you will be called a p*ssy.
