Winger, being 6'1", 175 lbs., he could afford to put on a few pounds. Played in the Sweden U20 league this year. 14 g/ 27 a in 35 games. Had 2 points in 15 games for the senior team (17-18 was the 1st season playing outside of Germany). He turned down the opportunity to play in the CHL.

What in the holy frick are the Flames doing? Ferland and Fox for Lindholm and Hanifan is a fairly even trade that would favor the Flames, but not by a bunch. Ferland actually outscored Lindholm this year, though he is 2 years older. But in order to make a roughly even swap, they threw in a top pair RHD on a good contract. What an absolutely insanely stupid move.
Even better, the hockey media have applauded the trade and are scoring it for the Flames because... checks notes... Dougie Hamilton likes museums. Are you f'n kidding me?!

we hired carolinas old coach so that surely has something to do with it.
i guess they like hanifins potential because he is young.
also we had problems scoring goals. lindholm is an upgrade over ferland
still though i dont like trading away Hamilton with gio on the back end of his career.
