Sow your roll bro, Hall is better than Weber?

I understand the contract stuff, but consider this: Weber is like Scott Stevens and can potentially play until he's 40 anyways

Exactly. Some Blues fans are not taking everyting into consideration. Shatty suppsoedly has a list of 4 teams he will sign an extension with if traded. Edmonton isnt one of them. Blues fans acting like it was armstrong just pissing away Hall for shatty deal probably dont even realize this stuff. In no way is Edmonton trading Hall for one year of Kevin Shattenkirk.

Molson hasn't said a word about it either

Go watch Bergy on NHL.com and his blatant lie in that interview. It's disgusting.

We traded away a key player so that we could keep our fat frick of a coach happy.

That's what sickens me the most. He sucks. His style of play sucks and his whole family sucks.

I'm more pissed about this trade than the Roy trade. The Roy trade I knew that it had to happen. This makes no sense anywhere.

Why would you even take on a contract like Weber's????

At the very worst, get him to restructure with the Preds before trading for him.

Nah...even that doesn't justify this. This sucks all the way around.

The Habs are in no way serious about winning a cup

This saddens me to no end.

Yeah restructure. The Habs are now just trying to flood Twitter with Weber I want to win I'm happy to be here quotes. The backlash is ugly. I know it's not his fault, but Habs need to let this settle down tonight. They're alienating the fan base.

The club tweeted a Bergy quote that said the Montreal Market will be happy with the trade and Hab fans from all over the world jumped him cussed him

Here's what really gets me...

Your first line D is a young 27 year old superstar, and an aging dinosaur.

Why not try and move Markov for somebody who can make up athletically for Pernell's risky play?

But no. We keep the dinosaur and replace PK with another soon to be dinosaur.

I mean in a few years, Shea won't even be top line quality. And he'll still be under contract for another half a decade

That and you need scoring so why not trade for scoring? RNH could've been gotten for one of those clowns they call Wingers.

We should've seen it coming when they let Parenteau walk without even a offer really.

PK is one of my favorite non Hawks players but I'm not excited to see him on a divisional rival now. Nashville just trade raped the Habs, I don't even know what Bergevin could be thinking. That's like a trade you make in a video game in GM mode when you're like 3 years in and you just don't give a shite anymore

Great deal for the Preds. Hope Nashville embraces him. The dudes knows how to play old school defense.

Yes I am still pissed off about this whole deal. The Montreal Twitter was just getting torched last night, they kept tweeting things and fans were just having fits. @CanadiensMTL if you want to read some comedy and pissed off folks.

Was hoping Nill would become a part of the trade fleecing yesterday and nab Bishop for peanuts. Still holding out hope I see him in net instead of Lehtonen or Niemi for 2016

Weber is not Scott Stevens. Get out of here with that. Did you see the playoffs? Weber was getting turnstiled by the Sharks, can you imagine what happens to him in the more speed-based East? Weber's not that great defensively anymore, and he's already in sharp decline. He's going to get abused in the conference that stresses speed over heavy hockey. Can't hit what you can't catch.

And Weber makes less money. In fact, he makes only $1 million a year. The problem is his cap hit makes it one of the worst contracts in hockey. It's a contract so awful, it is now banned by rule. He is 30 years old and still has a cap hit of $7.8 million... for the next TEN seasons. That is a crippling cap hit for a guy who won't be able to play on your top pair.

And Hall is f'n awesome. He's the best player on the Oilers, including McDavid. Here is a list of all the players who score more points/60 at even strength than Hall over the past four seasons....

Sidney Crosby
Jamie Benn

End of list.

The Oilers traded one of the best offensive players in hockey for a pretty good stay at home defenseman.

Jared Boll bought out

He did have a couple of epic fights though.

This is why I'm so sad Shattenkirk wouldn't agree to go there long-term. Could've probably gotten a deal for Hall or RNH.
