The NBA needs to embrace heroes/villains, pettiness, feuds etc. Stuff like that drives interest. The current crop of players truly come off as if they don’t give a shite. There is no more hatred between players or teams. They just care about their stats and money.
The NBAs hyper urbanized culture also needs to go. It has very little appeal to people outside of the largest cities in the US.
Stop making NBA synonymous with pop-culture. Where is the game separated from the red carpet? They're too close to one another right now.

It's Lebron's fault. His weird competitiveness, his me-first holier-than-thou attitude, and his politics have permeated the league. He never once did the dunk contest. The bullshite started there and then grew into the biggest ego in sports. He is the least likeable top athlete of my life.
Good take. I’m not a Lebron fan, but I’ll try to be unbiased with him. He’s had the best basketball career when you look at numbers. I don’t think he’s the GOAT though. His attitude, politics aside, is a major turnoff. It was a turnoff for me with Jordan, but the difference is Jordan never lost once he hit the peak. Jordan did the dunk contest. Bird did the 3 point contest. Those guys backed it up way more than LeBron has.

David Stern wouldn't put up with this woke bullshite. Plus the game is nothing more than pick up basketball, jacking up 50 3's a game.
Stern would be addressing that too, not creating some lame in season tourney as a solution.

NHL love went away like a queef in the wind….
I love the nhl but this country simply won’t ever care outside the national team
NBA saw 2% dip in regular season viewers, NHL over 10%

NHL viewership is much like the MLB. Some of it is dependant on the markets that are involved.
Hurts that both New York teams, Chicago, Boston, Detroit, and Pittsburgh (Sydney Crosby) are down and missed the playoffs.
Instead both Florida teams, Winnipeg, and Ottawa are in and those teams don't draw eyeballs like the Rangers, Blackhawks, and Bruins.
