This is only an excuse for Herbert though. There are plenty of dumpy WR corps around the league. Kansas City, Green Bay, New England, Baltimore.

Chiefs went 0-3 in the turnover differential against the Jags and still won by two positions

Sounds like you've been betting agin him, My Man.
Are you up?
(Serious question - I don't know their record vs the spread)

How was the Viking fan turnout? There were a few plays where they seemed pretty loud.

Meh.

New England's is very meh, and Mac has sucked so I'm not sure the relevance.

Josh McDaniel and Derek Carr are perfect for each other.
Mediocre.
I root for good football no matter who's playing.
You can count on the Raiders for playing down (not far to go) or dragging another team to their level.

The entire NFL product had never been this bad.

You're insane. The NFL is amazing right now. I've watched since the late 80's, and it keeps getting better. Sure, there are dud games, but it's evolving quite nicely, IMO.
Meh. Not gonna get in a pissing contest WT. I've worn out a few Lazy-Boys in my time time, too.
No question that the athletes are better. What I've seen over time is a lack of corresponding quality in execution. Is it possible that so many terrific athletes all over the field cancel each other out? Maybe so, but it feels like there's a consistent level of inconsistency by even the best teams on both sides of the ball.
Penalties and replay have almost made the freaking game more about the Announcers/Broadcast than the action on the field. (Noticeably worse for CFB )
I could certainly go on but that's enough nega-tory/nega-tory for now good buddy...

This right here. The only folks hating the NFL right now only watch the shitty team they root for.
So, you're saying that people who watch only the Raiders or Panthers or any of the other shitty teams that make up most of the League this season, will hate on the entire NFL product because being a fan of their team blows?
You realize those folks see 12 teams that are not in their own division, right? They see plenty of the NFL to form an opinion one way or the other.
Meh. OK.

There were TONS of them

They had taken over a few bars the previous night downtown

And had a really strong presence at the game
