What a joke. They fight over a supposed fumble and you penalize the last guy with the ball ??

how's it a weak call?

Hurts made a dumbass mistake and was bailed by an even dumber mistake. Look at the replay, ref had no choice but to throw that flag.

What a rig job. 21.5 over/under for halftime, and the NFL rigs the game to give the eagles an extra timeout so they can get the kick

And they weren't going to get the ball set for another play even if the dude handed the ball to the ref.

I'd be interested to know what the first half spread was.

Went from 14 point lead to 17.

Game spread was at 14.5 at one point

No way in hell they even get near the line to snap it. Hurts was 20 yards away from the center of the field.

bullshite.

Players scrum for non-fumbles every single game. If you’re going to flag it there you need to flag it every time.

Both teams fighting for what looked to be a loose ball equals delay of game on the defense?

That penalty for that reason probably won’t be called for a long time but don’t expect the supporters of that penalty call to notice that.

For doing what every defensive player does every time there’s a loose ball?

if it was a fumble, he had already established possession and was down. Ref motioned for him to give up the ball, but he kept hugging it.
I know people want to root for the underdog. But that was the correct ruling

So why is delay of game NEVER called when that happens in the middle of a quarter?

They called it specifically because Philly couldn't stop the clock.

Why couldn't they stop the clock? Bc they made a mental error.

The officials bailed them out on a call that is never normally called and shouldn't have been called here.

So when defensive players recover a fumble and are down, but then run to the end zone they should be flagged because they didn’t give the ball to the ref?

Again, they don’t flag it any other time, they shouldn’t flag it there. Picking and choosing when an action is a penalty is stupid. It either is or isn’t.
