And keep in mind this list is more of a telling the story of the NFL list, not a ranking list.

If you were sitting down with someone who had no clue about the history of the NFL, these are the 10 guys you would give an oral history of when you get to Quarterbacks.

The point is everyone has to rely on kickers.

But most importantly, kickers have to rely on the QB to drive the offense into his leg's range.

tGOAT did that when it mattered most.

My point was, it’s not Kelly’s fault he had a shitty kicker. He put his kicker in position to win that SB and he couldn’t.

You being a Bama fan should know the importance of kickers.

Scott Norwood was not a shitty kicker. He was actually very reliable for the entirety of his career. He just happened to miss the most important kick of his life and will always be remembered for that.

He wasn't a very good kicker from long range, however, and the Bills knew that. Think Jeremy Shelley, the Alabama kicker from the earlier part of this decade. He had difficulty making field goals from beyond 40 yards and the kick they asked him to make in Super Bowl XXV was from 47 yards.

Knowing this...perhaps Jim Kelly should have gotten them closer to the goal line?

Or how does it look if Brady didn’t have glorified scrimmages for all his interdivisional games his whole career? And add an asterisk for his organization continually cheating

You are so mad.

Since 2001, going into the 2019 season, the New England Patriots were an incredible 24-14 in the regular season against eventual division winners. No other team even had a winning record in this category. Against teams that eventually made the playoffs, they were 60-33. No other team has a winning record in that category. Their record against teams with a winning record was 75-45. Again...no other team has a winning record in that category.

Brees has been disrespected his entire career. This will continue by leaving him off the list.

He's #4 in my book.

Brady, Favre, and Manning the first three named.

Many thought Favre wouldn't even make it.

He shouldn't have, he's not a top 10 QB in NFL history.

That's already 3 modern day QBs. Brees might get left off the list, which would be asinine.

Brees didn’t make it, as I suspected.

Most people are as dumb as the posters on this board. That is today’s America

Rodgers didn’t make it either did he?

These lists are clearly trying to pick only a few guys out of each era

Slingin' Sammy Baugh or Otto Graham old timer or two named. So with the 6 remaining slots, I'll go:

Manning
Johnny U
Marino
Elway
Favre
Staubach

That's who I think will be named.
