No one who's been to the Rose Bowl for the bowl game or a NCG would ever say this.

Yeah no shite.

Liberty Bowl?

Rose Bowl has the most pageantry of any CFB game. It's not just the game...it's the Rose Parade that starts at 7am...the Rose Queen, the colors and pomp and circumstance, etc...outdoors, on grass under a clear blue sky.

Oh and Keith Jackson coined the phrase Granddaddy of them all. Frankly, if you don't like the Rose Bowl or think it's a glorified Liberty Bowl, you don't like CFB.

I'm talking about the stadium. All of what you mentioned can be done at the new stadium.

Pageantry is best suited for horses races like the kentucky derby. If I wanted that type of drama I would read one of those sultry 99 cent paperbacks from the walmarks

The only thing the new stadium does better is everything that has absolutely nothing to do with football.

In a worse location.

What possible reason would you bother going to a shittier location less geared for football to watch a football game?

If you cant even last a few hours at a football game you should just stay at home.

Thus the new stadium offers nothing but missing all the history and pomp and circumstance

Because of watching football. The stadium is simply one of the best in all of the world for watching a football game or even a futbol match. It is wonderful. The rosebowl is that antique that someone will pay outrageous money for but is really old and not very useful, or practical. I mean it would be one thing if it were wrigley or Fenway but it is not. There is no unique experience other than a parade. You are literally excited about nothing other than a parade.

Dude.

It's a National Historic Landmark, one of the oldest stadiums in America, older than the Coliseum by a year and hosted 5 SB games, and speaking of your futbol, hosted the Final of the Men's and Women's World Cup.

There's a fricking reason they chose the Rose Bowl for the Final over all those other modern stadiums across America.

They were telling the world, you wanna know America, this is us. This is the stadium we can put on the biggest extravaganza...and it's one of our oldest.

This stadium hasn't been given those chances. I'm saying it should be given the chance and the rosebowl stadium should be reduced to rubble and rebuilt. Just because it is old doesn't mean it is good. Put up a new one in it's spot I don't care but the sightlines are terrible. It is nothing but an oversized liberty bowl. It isn't a good stadium. There are currently plenty stadiums across the country that are better across multiple sports and states and countries.

You seem to be the expert on sightlines of stadiums that the state of California banned people from going into in the first year of opening.

Sat in every seat for a bunch of games already?

The best stadium ever built that no one has been in yet?

Right.

Dumbass

The Rose Bowl is probably the most iconic stadium in college football
At least 8 SEC stadiums are unquestionably more iconic. Rose Bowl is an overhyped game usually played by two overrated teams that wouldn't finish in the top half of the SEC.

There are like a few of original home team college football stadiums left with their original build structures and concrete foundations from basically 100 years ago now

Rose Bowl
Horseshoe
Big House
Notre Dame Stadium

And the Rose Bowl has hosted a bunch of Super Bowls. World Cup matches. Olympic events. Rose Bowl. etc

Its got to be at the top
