We're leading the NBA right now in season ticket sales for next season.

I thought if you changed uniforms, you had to wait 2 years before you could add an alternate uni (unless you opted to join the sleeve uniform revolution).

well they did make the playoffs this year.

Yeah with an average 43-39 record and still finished 25th in attendance. Averaging over a little 15k isn't bad but I know people are glad to have the Hornets back.

Not quite as good as the original pinstriped unis from the original franchise, but I have no problem with these. Thumbs: Up.

hell of a lot better than that shite they wore the last few years in NOLA. Pinstripes are for baseball not basketball.

I'm pro-sleeves.

Guess I'm in the minority on that one.

It' all about sales, I think. Most people would never buy an NBA jersey (I never have), but might be more inclined if they have sleeves.

Am I right on this? I think I read it in an ESPN article when the sleeved jerseys were coming out.

Exactly. I thought there was a rule in place that the team has to wear the new jerseys a full year before getting an alternate jersey. I hope the Pelicans get a third option next season like red jerseys.

The hornet color scheme is so much more interesting than the relatively boring pelicans stuff.

This name swap give back situation remains incredibly goofy to me, and I don't understand why the pelicans allowed it. It has to create brand confusion for the nola franchise.

Those are great. I'm glad they ditched the pinstripes

because the name made no sense as it had no ties to nola so they came up with a more relevant name and aren't toolbags like the Utah fricktards

not as good as the original, but I like them enough

there were a lot of rumors we weren't getting teal and that was pissing off a lot of fans. the teal jerseys were pretty much the fan favorite so it would've been bittersweet to not have them

I guess this is the NBA's way of fully giving back the sense of the old Hornets to Charlotte

I don't generally buy the idea that a team name needs to have a tie to the home town necessarily, but even if you decide it does and you change the name, that doesn't explain why they also gave the name back. It's two different things. Changing the name doesn't have to go along with allowing another franchise in the league to use the old name just one year later.

I'm happy for Charlotte fans that they get their name back, but I don't know why nola did it really.

why wouldn't they let them have it back? it would be a dickish move and really serve no purpose. (i'm looking at you Utah)
