I was reading the women's soccer sub on Reddit and they were blasting the coach's decision to bring her to the World Cup. Apparently, she's basically the team mascot at this point in her career. To bring a polarizing, controversial player who doesn't offer much in the pitch makes absolutely zero sense.

Risky move from Netflix in part because this team is set up more to give the old guard a Golden parachute instead of actually caring about the win. Not to mention the coach is pretty trash.

There's a better then ok chance they flame out early while contributing basically nothing to the joint prize pool

WCA has to be torn when these threads pop up.

On one hand, one must always defend their people.

But on the other, it’s fricking soccer

Her and Morgan are just there to get money.

Rapinoe played 15 games last year

Will the MSB give this a watch?

The MSB will tell us how much they hate this and the team then we'll have 4 page threads discussing specific scenes with every episode.

not so fast my friend

I support any movement that mocks soccer or any American company that tries to push this mickey mouse sport on us. Save welcome to wrexham but thats just because Ryan Reynolds is so dreamy

Put me in the camp wanting this to bomb

Their string of success with these types of docu-series will suddenly come to an end, and somehow everyone involved will act like they don't know why.

over/under 11 threads started within the first 3 months of release that are something like

One thing that irks me about the WNT is that they claim to be so great, and not even worrying about them playing Vs that 15U team of boys, but just among women. The problem is this isn’t like other women’s sports leagues which are competitive in a sense, is that the US is like the only country trying to have women’s sports and is so far out ahead, competing with the rest of the world is a joke. It’s like if every high school in Louisiana was required to carry some obscure sport and the few schools that did have it were just killing everyone. Are you really that good, or has no one even remotely caught up.
