I feel like teams drop 60 and 70 points on them on the regular. Getting 60 and especially 70 points scored upon you is a big deal and it doesn't happen too often, but it seems like it happens at least once a year to them.

I can't recall the last time teams like LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, etc have had 60 dropped on them. 70... ...well, that just seems completely out of the question. I'm not sure a school has ever scored 70 on those teams.

2012 : Wisconsin - 70, Ohio State - 63
2008 : Missouri - 52, Oklahoma - 62
2007 : Kansas - 76, Colorado - 65
2004 : Texas Tech - 70
2001 : Colorado - 62

That's absolutely embarrassing. 2008 was pretty damn shameful for LSU, allowing 52 from UGA and 51 from UF.

Some of those were pick 6's though. But yeah, that LSU defense was terrible. But they probably looked like the 70s Steelers compared to those Nebraska defenses.

And UCLA racked up 653 yards against them...more yards than they had against Rice, Colorado, Arizona or pitiful Wazzu.

Nebraska ranked in the bottom 15 in the nation in rushing defense.

Teams like LSU, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, etc. wouldn't put up 60-70 on them just because they aren't "quick-strike" offenses. The offenses are built to sustain long, clock-eating drives to wear opposing defenses down, all while allowing their own defenses to rest.

And I'm pretty sure CU had about 400 yards rushing and Chris Brown had about six rushing TDs in that 2001 game.

I think Wisconsin threw the ball 10 times last night. 10 times....

I think Bobby Purify had 200+ too.

ETA: That 2001 CU Buffs team was actually really good. Daniel Graham at TE. 3 headed monster at running back.

This is true.. damn.

Still, doubt LSU would put up 60. We'd make a ball game out of it.

Their next game in the Rose Bowl against Oregon, Colorado had:

49 yards on 31 carries.

My neighbor (who we don't get along with) is a Neb fan. Five years ago I started hanging a big LSU flag on my gate on game day. Last year he started hanging a big Neb flag on his gate.

Saturday, his flag was up there at 6 a.m. The game was played late Sat night and I went to bed at half time.

The wife and I got up at 5 am. Wife, who checked the score on the net asked "I wonder if he got pissed off and took his flag down in the middle of the night. I drove off at 5:30 in complete darkness. His flag had been taken down during the game.

I wish there was some way LSU played Nebraska in a bowl game this year.

Yall wouldn't have even come close to beating Miami, but Oregon deserved to be there over Nebraska.
