I wouldn’t be mad at all. I like seeing different teams win.

Why does Cal always reference the youth on his teams like it’s something they plan on getting over. That’s his entire scheme.

And Kansas St. somehow won without their best player.

"So proud of these kids, they got better individually all year."

Sounds like they will be great NBA players soon.

He played tonight. He hadn’t played any the first 2 rounds. He played 1st half some.

Looks like for once FSU is catching fire at the right time instead of some random 8 game stretch during the season.

You’re right. I should have said Kansas St. somehow won without getting much from their best player.

Are any of the Florida St. fans here going to Elite 8?

FSU was very lucky tonight that Gonzaga’s Tillie went out with a hip pointer.

All that being said, Self may take the cake on this.

self has the 4th best win percentage of any current coach in the ncaa tournament. the 3 ahead of him are the 3 you would expect provided you aren't an izzo disciple. the fact is, the best coaches that get the best players all do the best in the ncaa tournament as well. for some reason, no one really understands that and always wants to insinuate that guys aren't doing enough with their talent. that's not true. they are. the same guys that are dominating regular seasons and dominating recruiting are dominating the tournament.

however, yes, i suppose self takes the cake, but only because he's 4th out of the best 4.

He's still overrated. I can't believe he only has 1 championship. And it took a borderline miracle for that one to happen.

how do you NOT foul. Jesus. but

Probably figured the refs would call one whether they tried to foul or not. They did practically every other possession Kentucky had.

BTW there are Kentucky fans over at RR who think the refs screwed Kentucky by calling too many fouls against K-State. I swear that school needs to change its mascot from the Wildcats to the Painteaters.

K-State has looked really bad for stretches and still is able to keep it close.

They haven't played a game this year where they didn't look bad for stretches, at least on offense. It's just been a matter of whether or not their defense makes the other team look bad during the same stretch.

Anyone know what the shield and sword are about on the right chest of K-State’s jersey?

I don't remember what it looked like but it might have something to do with Ft. Riley since it is about ten miles away from Manhattan.

It is to honor Field Artillery from Ft Riley. They started it last year.

Best games tonight should be in Boston
Nova WVU
Purdue Tech

It will be interesting see how they call these games though. If they let both games go it will be the best games of the tournament.

I know they won’t do it, but the games in Boston need to be played on the parquet.

It’s not really fair to watch K State hoping to see beautiful basketball. They challenge everything and just outgrind you. Kentucky couldn’t get comfortable and State had a lot to with it. Gilgeous would penetrate and there were hands everywhere. If UK managed to get the ball to the post K State got even more aggressive. The announcers were saying K State was undersized and they might have been at some positions but they’re a nice sized team as a whole and everyone rebounded aggressively. Kentucky really could have used Jared Vanderbilt.
