My only complaint is that the CWS seems to benefit small ball/pitching teams over teams that hit the ball really well.

Not doubting you. How is this format favorable to small ball teams?

I was just complaining about the tournament generally. I guess not specifically the format of games.

I like regional play but I find it weird in a sport where you play 3 game series every weekend you suddenly switch to a regional format for the postseason

Not every conference plays 3 some play 4

The CWS schedule is all screwy

Should be the exact same format as regional weekend with the championship series being the next weekend like the supers are. Too many days off

Buddy of mine thought the regional was the best 2 of 3 head to head then the supers was the double elim bracket. Told him to do the math on how many teams would be in the regional round - 128.

I like the CWS the way it is. Awesome format, Omaha is an awesome venue.

Ya football should do the same.

Oh wait baseball players don’t actually even move much so it works for them.

I hare the Super Regionals. I loved the old 8 host with 6 teams format.
