You can say that about a bunch of programs.

It's not a desirable job at all IMO. Imagine not only being in the same state as 2 blue bloods but being in the same metro area. And the gulf is only getting bigger with NIL.

I feel like him or Gottfried busted my bracket every year for the last decade

Why would their NIL be any less than UNC or Duke’s?

probably the right decision. Last year was clearly an aberration.

yep. Which is why I don't think

really applies.

That minor miracle last year saved his job another 12 months. They haven't been good overall for almost his entire tenure there, except for 3 weeks last season.

I’d imagine Will Wade is on that shortlist

Kudos to an athletic department that takes the program seriously.

I don't know about that. My sister, brother in law, cousin, nephews are all State grads. Their take on NC State's commitment to athletics "mediocrity at any cost".

Don't give them too much credit. If they took the program that seriously, NC State could've fired Keatts a few years ago.

Why is NC St supposedly one of the top jobs?

Why wouldn’t they be? Two time national champions who play in a Power conference, in basically an NBA arena in the most rabid college basketball market. People just think the job is worse than what it is because UNC and Duke are right there

The Triangle is a basketball hotbed, State has been to a Final Four more recently than either Duke or UNC, and they’re a giant public university in a growing state. What better job would a coach hold out for over that one?

Yeah a buzzer beater to force OT from being fired last year and they stunk up the floor this year.

That one dude carried them to the F4 and without him they were cheeks

It was just like Sindarius thornwell carrying SC and Frank Martin's bum arse to a final 4. A lot of fun but an absolute fluke.
