They were an 8 seed most recently in a 1/8 series. You're seriously going all the way back to '07?

When was the last time HOU was a #1 seed? I mean, for crying out loud

A one seed losing to an eight is 'memorable' isn't that what he was commenting on? Sometimes in the playoffs the losses are so bad that people don't forget them? Please keep up.

Again, you're running smack on 1 seeds losing to 8 seeds when it's been eons since HOU was ever that high of a seed.

How about bringing yourself back into this decade.

They are the optimum basketball team. No doubt about it.

Just ridiculous how they turn close games into laughers.

you're a embicile a one seed losing to an 8 in the playoffs is memorable. Whether or not Houston was ever a one seed is about as relevant as whether or not the clippers were ever a one seed.

The Mavs winning a championship within the last 5 years is also pretty memorable.

So was clutch city's back to back iirc the discussion was memorable losses if we want to change the topic to wins...well, haha, let's just say there aren't many teams out there who have had more winning seasons in the past few decades than HOU.

You know what is also memorable. Losing 4-2 to Memphis as a #1 seed.

Know what is even MORE memorable than two #1 seeds losing to 2 #8 seeds? A ring just 2 years ago.

For all of those "wins" in the past decade, before last year, Houston won the same number of playoff series as the Hornets/Pelicans. A grand ole ONE

So what's the math and shite on the warriors losing single digits here? It seems pretty likely to me...

before last year the Spurs were the reigning champs. Before last year the Warriors were just an average playoff team. When you have to add silly qualifiers like that it makes you argument weaker. Not stronger.

They're gonna go either 40-1 or 41-0 at home. They do play San Antonio on the road twice on the 2nd leg of a back-to-back.

Looking through the rest of their schedule...

@ LA Clippers (back end of back-to-back)
@ Atlanta
@ Miami
@ Oklahoma City
@ San Antonio (back end of back-to-back)
@ San Antonio (back end of back-to-back)

Those are their toughest remaining road games, I would guess. The Clippers have a mental block against Golden State, so they aren't beating them. Even if they split these road games and lose three of them... give them 1 loss at home, and then 1 other random loss on the road... and that's still only 9 losses.

Watching the Warriors this season is really putting a 72-10 season in perspective

Golden State has been incredible, and they could finish the season at a 30-6 clip and STILL not break the record.

That's nuts. Gonna be a fun second half of the year.

Couple that attitude with a good bit of injuries and you get a slow start.

That didn't stop you last year crowing about how great they were despite their injuries. Now that they've had less injuries than last season, you can credit that to a slow start? Just admit it, last year was a mirage and even then, it took tremendous luck to get past the Clippers.

Probably lose to SA or OKC in the 1st round in 4-5 games.

they wouldn't beat the Warriors the way they're playing. They are an all time great team.
Yep. Not like this ever changed though. This was their fate before the season started. Curry >>>>>>>> Harden. Klay >>>> Harden. Is Ariza still leading team meetings for the Rockettes?

This too.

60 games no I don't remember that. Either way, no one took me up on it. Of all the people here who think the Rockets are overrated, suck, etc. No one was willing to put up or shut up.

Who's arguing this? You're a fan of the Blazers bro, you lost out to Memphis in the playoffs last season. Yes, the Grizzlies.
My team ain't winning a title but the Blazers aint even making the playoffs for the forseeable future.

Curry > Harden.
dud, Curry is the best player in the world right now, Curry > everyone. ain't nobody here saying Harden is better than him.

. Klay > Harden.
not particularly close.

never happened..and not really a big deal even if it did. trevor is well respected around the league and in the the HOU locker room.

when a team has a long layoff and doesn't play their best game on the first game after the layoff, well that kinda proves that rust is real dontya think?
