So basically the numbers are hovering around the pre-shutdown levels despite less TVs, no crowds, less teams, and a somewhat preseason approach to the Bubble games that some teams are taking?

So much for the boycott destroying the league

The free market has us in a place where this has become unavoidable, but things are changing rapidly on that front and most people you are addressing, if I had to hasten a guess, would welcome that change

But hey, buying a phone charger is definitely the same as vocally supporting, with one of the worlds largest and most lucrative platforms; a regime actively engaging in a genocide and tyrannically imposing dystopian laws in the city of Hong Kong and calling those that have public issues with these practices uneducated.

No it is only important for the nba players to denounce China. They will still get their Drew Brees knockoff jersey from there in order to save $30

It’s pretty bizarre to see these people not able to just call out the hypocrisy but still support the race baiting agenda of the players. The Hong Kong hypocrisy is so blatant that they look ridiculous trying to spin it.

Did you just forget how to read in regards to the first sentence in my post or are you always just a disingenuous prick?

Being on the side that believes in racial equality is certainly the right side of history.

Believing in "equality," even among two people of the same race, is certainly the insane side of anything.

I’m not sure why this is a difficult concept for you two to understand. If you support, with an extremely large and lucrative platform, a nation that is engaging is rampant and countless human rights violations on an enormous scale; and try to sell to me that your actions aren’t about maximizing profits but instead are motivated by being on “the right side of history”, you come across as a blinded fool.

And most of the people you are talking to are actively denouncing China and searching for avenues in which they can spend their money on commodities that don’t involve China. Maybe you haven’t noticed, but ever since COVID people at large haven’t been too keen on giving that nation money.

People arebeing completely disingenuous by bringing up "black on black crime in Chicago".

You don't actually give a shite about black on black crime in Chicago...we all know it. You're just annoyed about people not being satisfied with their lot in life and criticizing America (especially white America)

I’m not sure if y’all are referring to the Mr. Perfects on here or the NBA players, but—and not to excuse it—I honestly think very few players even now comprehend their hypocrisy regarding Hong Kong and China. Not that they aren’t smart enough, just that they aren’t educated enough. They’re ignorant. That’s what was so hilarious about Lebron calling out Morey—it was so fricking incredibly stupid and he had no idea. Like the Kanye likes fish sticks South Park episode.

And making the cash that they do, probably don’t care to be. It’s Adam Silver that really should be shamed, but he seems to have masterfully slithered out of this mess unscathed.

Considering the arguments are based on false premises, then yes, you are correct.

Black people are far more successful in the US than anywhere else in the world. Can you please point to the current policy stopping black people from equal opportunity?

You can have equal opportunity or equal outcome, not both.

thanks Captain Obvious. Neither side cares about the body count in urban cities if we are honest.

Their complaints and arguments are easy to poke holes in. Murders in Chicago is the just the easiest.

I was referring to our resident two posters that are either unable to or unwilling to reconcile with the hypocrisy of what they are putting forth.

I mostly agree with your assessment of the actual NBA players. But born out of ignorance or not, as you said yourself, it ultimately isn’t an excuse and for me personally, my lack of viewership is mostly because of my inability to be inundated with the hypocrisy of the league’s very visible sociopolitical stances of the previous two years.

Can we start a conversation, listen and learn about how white people are far more likely to be the victims of interracial crime than black people?
