It isn’t one day a week though. NFL plays Thursday, Sunday, and Monday.

If given the choice I'm watching NBA playoffs over Thursday football for certain which is usually of crap quality football, and MNF unless the Saints are playing.

It really makes no sense to resume the season after a 5 month layoff. That’s basically a full offseason. Whoever wins is going to be a bullshite champ.
STrike shortened season I'm guessing was off the same amount of time. People said the title would have an asterisk, no one says that any more.

I just worry that even the Christmas start date is too early now

Holy shite, the length of time between the suspension until July 31st would be I think 2 weeks longer than a typical NBA offseason. That is insanity. Why the hell even finish this season?

Because the NBA is dead set on getting Lebron another ring.

The calls will be so biased towards the Lakers

Theres a lot of irony of you harping on that considering the league is bending over backwards to force Zion into this thing

Not good for the older NBA stars. Rust is real

But at least we get some type of closure to this season

Eh. The Lakers with freaking Lebron James are an infinitely bigger draw than the New Orleans Pelicans will ever be, no matter how big a star Zion is or becomes.

I definitely think the Lakers being a contender is a large factor among many factors on the league coming back.

Local TV contracts is a big one as well.

I never said getting Zion into the playoffs was a leading factor to bring the league back. Just that the league is absolutely going to do what they need to do to get him in once they actually do come back

It would be smart of them I guess. Despite all of my talk on here I’m a little skeptical. It’s hard to fathom the Pelicans having a star that matters that much after playing like 20 games. Maybe I’m too close to the situation.

Trying to be objective, I understand he has some serious appeal and it makes sense to WANT him in the tournament. I don’t think they’ll bend over backwards but if the plan makes sense I’m sure it’s their preference.
