If your team in a sport is a underdog do you cheer for other team since upsets suck

I don't understand the massive hype from legit sports fans. Yeah I get how casual fans enjoy it because its shorter and there are cinderellas. But how can you be a legit basketball fan and prefer a far inferior product where luck and being hot at the right time can be enough to advance you a round, rather than being the actual better team.

When was the last time the NCAA had a true Cinderella champ? 1988? How many 1s and 2s have won since then?

And yet I know at least 4 times a 1 has lost in the first round of the NBA playoffs in the last 20 years. And didn't the Knicks make the finals as a 7 or 8 seed?

My dad is one of those people that think there is no defense played in the NBA and that the game has gotten too physical now.

He is completely wrong. Defense is much better now than it was and the game has actually gotten less physical.

I'm a fan of the NBA, but to try and say that the defense has gotten better and maintain a straight face would be difficult. did you not just see the ending of the GSW/Den game? the Denver player couldn't have had an easier layup and it was all thanks to lazy defense from the GS player. NBA players are consistently lazy on defense all year long.

I have had season tickets with the Hornets/Pelicans since they returned from OKC, and probably one of the laziest players on defense I have ever seen was David West. as much as I liked him, that dude only put forth effort on one side of the floor.

Yeah 1 seeds have lost before. But if they lose a 7 game series you can safely say they didnt deserve to advance. You can be the best team in college, have a bad night, and you're home. The Knicks made finals as an 8 seed yes. But it was a shortened season due to a strike and I believe they had injuries in the regular season that cost them a worse record than what they were. Not 100% on the injury situation

A few years ago we had a .500 big east team battle the horizon league co-champion for the national title in a game that was affront to basketball.

breath on LeBron ... whistle time!

Do you even watch Heat games? Lebron probably gets fouled more than any player in the NBA.

Durant gets far more questionable calls than Lebron.

You must not be that big of a fan of the NBA in general. Go watch games from the 80's and tell me they used to play better defense.

That wasn't laziness that was bad scheming. No way they should've been that spread out against a team with no shooters.

If it wasn't for people filling out brackets, nobody would care about March Madness. It's 99% a gambling phenomenon.

yes I do and anyone with a brain can see the bias in officiating when it comes to LeBron and other star players. the NBA is horrible about it. oh and its also amazing how LeBron seems to rarely ever foul anyone. funny how that works out.

this is partially true. take the word "far" out of it and I could agree.

I've never understood the fascination with March Madness. NBA playoffs is much better basketball, games are usually always close and down to wire. And the best team advances always, unlike college basketball. IDGAF that it lasts so long. Where amazing happens

WTF? Trolling??? Bad attempt.

This is obvious, but why single out Lebron when it happens all over the league?

KD takes 2.3 FT's more per game than Lebron, and Lebron takes FAR more of his shots driving the lane. KD gets fouled on jumpshots more than any player in the league.

the simple fact that JUMP SHOOTERS like KD and Kobe average the amount of free throws they do is all one needs to know about the NBA's agenda to push certain star players to the top.

"Durant with the ball, 3 seconds on the shot clock, he fades back and shoots!!!" ...... (brick) .... ***WHISTLE*** .... free point opportunity time!
