Only idiots would dispute the quality of basketball. NBA is obviously far superior, but March Madness is much more exciting, especially early on.

NBA playoffs are the worst postseason in sports IMO

Not saying its bad, but its just too long to be as exciting

NBA basketball is clearly better then college basketball, there's no disputing that. I like NBA much better then college, but even I think that the March Madness tournament is better then NBA playoffs from a neutral standpoint (not having a team in either tournament).

64 teams with single elimination makes it more exciting. I have a natural tendency to root for underdogs so the upsets in the NCAA tournament appease to me. The quality of play is clearly better in the NBA as I previously said but I think NCAA is better for unbiased viewing.

If you used NBA logic, you would play your first round game on Thursday and then play your next game in mid-April.

And every Duke game would be in prime time on CBS while the VCU/Butler game is at 1AM Wednesday on TruTV.

that is until the media darling teams that the NBA does everything in their power to push to the top for money and television ratings (aka Heat, Lakers) starts to play and you have to watch bias officiating.

- breath on LeBron ... whistle time!
- Bosh tackles player ... turn the other cheek
- Wade drives in lane, falls down, throws ball up ... whistle time!

- look at Kobe .... whistle .... oh wait, karma caught up with that piece of shite and he got what he deserved.

These people exist though. A lot, somehow. People try to tell me they prefer college because "they actually play defense and try harder" :smh:

The first half of Louisville/Wichita St. Game was some of the worst basketball I've ever seen, and I'd still rather watch that than watch the Lakers.

Although I'm more of a CBB guy than an NBA guy, I don't take much of an exception to this.

I don't understand the massive hype from legit sports fans. Yeah I get how casual fans enjoy it because its shorter and there are cinderellas. But how can you be a legit basketball fan and prefer a far inferior product where luck and being hot at the right time can be enough to advance you a round, rather than being the actual better team.

The NCAA is better for entertaining casual fans and for the shock value that comes with the upsets. The NBA has much better basketball and is a much better way to determine a champion.

My dad is one of those people that think there is no defense played in the NBA and that the game has gotten too physical now.

He is completely wrong. Defense is much better now than it was and the game has actually gotten less physical.

Again, did you just sit down and watch that whole game?

Of course you didn't.

A 6'7" fat rookie trying to guard a 15 year vet PG. man that's great basketball

obviously OP, but plebs of society will continue to listen to media stereotypes instead of acknowledging the truth.

I watched the second half. Was working out and missed first half. Ill watch every NBA playoff game entirely if I can. Unless it gets out of hand obviously. But yeah I love NBA basketball. And both games so far today have been great.
