When is the NBAPA going to start bitching about funding the WNBA?

The subsidy given by the NBA to the WNBA is 15 mil a year so only about 3 percent of this shortfall. So it would be a small hill to go to war on.

If you're having a revenue shortfall, any expenditures (especially those of such dubious nature as funding a money-pit league) need to be re-examined.

That’s what I was going to say. You’ve been subsidizing a money losing venture for years, but that will continue. The revenue shortfall has to come out of players’ salaries.

*I’m sure it’s clearly in the CBA and these guys make ridiculous salaries, but I will shite on the WNBA at every opportunity.

Steph makes just under 700K/game for an 82 game season. Not including playoffs.

Or if you want to subdivide it, that’s 15K/min in a 48 minute game

I assumed they just meant players taking a big cut included those players.

I've used haircut in terms of asset depreciation but never applied it to a salary.
