only thing they can do is have owners start a PAC to fund police reform. it's not a bad idea tbh and owners should do it

What’s stopping the millionaire players from doing that themselves?

would Dame playing in Game 5 and leading a 3-1 comeback be the most hilariously ironic thing that has ever happened to Lebron James or anyone

Isn’t Dame leaving the bubble though because of the knee?

That would involve more funding for better training and honestly larger salaries to attract a better pool of candidates for the job. The problem is the movement calls for less funding and fewer officers.

agree 100 dude

that's the rub here. police need more funding not less lol

That probably has more to do with the crippling debt college incurs these days.

what's funny about that dude? not even capping. I feel for police because they are not prepared for everything they have to deal with

You think the players would support anything involving more funding for police?

I agree with your stance. Our shared stance is in direct opposition to what they support and want

Of course they did, LeBron couldn't strong arm the other players into having the courage of his convictions.

The players’ greatest influence is through labor, I would assume. Owners are much, much more connected and influential in political circles than most or all of players.

There is a meeting of NBA owners and players set for later today, sources tell @MarcJSpears and me. The discussion is expected to include plans of action moving forward on social justice issues.

think LeBron just wanted his Malcolm X moment

First, Lebron is Shaun king Jr

Second, he’d have a Malcolm X moment if he called out White Liberal Democrats...not sure of Lebron read that on the first page of Malcolms biography

Sure we will. Those black communities will just turn into Somalia without police there and then they'll cry that no one cares about them enough to protect them
