The Houston Rockets are trading Dorian Finney-Smith and three second-round picks to the Charlotte Hornets, sources tell ESPN.

Charlotte acquires additional draft capital -- it has 20 second-rounders over the next 7 years and now the second-most tradeable picks in the NBA. The Rockets open roster flexibility after acquisitions of Marcus Smart and Bogdan Bogdanovic, plus create a $13 million trade exception.

The Ayton deal

Just in: The Los Angeles Lakers are trading Deandre Ayton to the Washington Wizards for Jaden Hardy and two Wizards second-round picks in 2031 and 2032, sources tell ESPN.

@ShamsCharania
The Lakers will now focus on finding Walker Kessler's backup on the market -- with centers such as Andre Drummond, Jonas Valanciunas and Kevon Looney among those being considered, sources said.
The Wizards took a patient approach to the start of free agency and now land a durable, reliable center to join Anthony Davis and Alex Sarr in the frontcourt.
Lakers also pick up additional draft assets through this move -- as they now are up to three second-rounders available to trade along with a future swap.

Restricted free agent guard Jordan Miller has pinged back to the Los Angeles Clippers on a new three-year, $15.3 million deal, sources tell ESPN. Miller served his way last season with 10 points per game on 53% from the field, and rallied to score double digits in 20 of his final 26 games last season.

Another hire for Dusty May's first NBA coaching staff: Joe Boylan.
After stints with five other NBA teams, including Memphis, Boylan was initially expected to reunite with Taylor Jenkins on his new Milwaukee staff. But l’m told Boylan is now Dallas-bound along with Willie Green.

Trey lyles to Minnesota one year deal. Guess he'll be their 4.
Going to get a lot minutes. They're free agency is done unless Lebron wants to play for 350k lol.

Off the bench stretch big. He's started 5 games his last 3 seasons in the NBA and was overseas last season. Rudy gonna have to do some heavy lifting in the post.

Andre Drummond to the Knicks… might be their Mitch replacement; not a bad rebounder himself

The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to sign 2025 second-round pick Kam Jones on a two-way NBA deal, sources tell ESPN. Jones was traded from Indiana to Chicago on draft night before being released, and now joins the Bucks.

10 years ago today, after snake Durant ruined his legacy, Russ posted this pic of 35 cupcakes which was KDs number.
Then a month later Russ held a presser at the arena and announced he was extending vice leaving. And that move saved the franchise from disaster. He then drug a team of no names to the playoffs and won MVP. Which Russ staying was the springboard to winning a future title. He enticed PG13 to come and that led to SGA and so much more.
There were over 50 moves made to get to the title year but it all started with Russ staying. Its why he’s so respected here.

Or, hear me out. KD could have earned his own legacy by taking his to and winning the title had he stayed. He choked up 3-1 and some say he was mentally checked out knowing since that Feb he was going to GS and couldn’t bear to beat them. And he joined as a coattail an already title ready team, and gets no credit for his bubble gum machine rings that Steph and Klay earned.
Presti made lemonade out of lemons, one of the great stories to come out of it. If you tracked every move he made afterwards it would fill a 2 hour documentary. Quite amazing how he recovered - when he lost a top 5 (at the time) player for no return. Also, he waited til the 4th to announce to hurt OKC in FA season. As seen by this thread by the 4th all the good players have homes and left Presti scraps.
GS didn't need KD, they just needed him off of OKC. And he fell for it. His jersey will never hang in OKC. And no fan here has any respect for him. And it bothers KD realizing he could have been a state hero but threw it all away. He was untouchable until that fateful day 10 years ago. And then he ran and hid overseas. Not man enough to tell GM or even Russ. He just posted that story and bolted the country. Weak and a snake.

OKC shouldn’t have any major sports teams. DEAD LAST in NBA attendance just a few years ago. Durant salvaged his legacy by fleeing that tiny shite hole, tornado ravaged, trailer park.

Rui goes off the board 2 years 28 mil to Clippers
That's pretty much it until Duran gets done for notable Free agents unless there's another trade. Denver still has to make a move too for salary probably too. Lebron also still has a decision to make too.
Now for 2023 draft class rookie extensions this week. Wemby obviously is chief among those at $300 mil out the Thompson twins could get interesting. Are they max players?
