Yeah, other teams have been doing that… when you’ve been on the block but other players have had moves made and no one wants to pay your price, that says a lot about your perceived value

Sources: New York Knicks have tried feverishly to trade for New Orleans Pelicans center Yves Missi after losing Mitchell Robinson, but offers have been rejected multiple times. Pelicans view Missi as a vital core figure and the message is that he’s unavailable.

The Magic need to call the Knicks and see what guard they can get for Goga Bitadze. Knicks need a center, Magic need some shooting/point guard. It makes too much sense.

The Kings will soon waive DeMar DeRozan, if they can’t find a trade.

Only $10 million of DeRozan’s expiring contract is guaranteed, and he would like to be on a contending team before retirement.

DeRozan appears open to signing a veteran’s minimum deal for a title-contender.

The Celtics can acquire Trey Murphy III with just draft picks due to possessing a $27.7 million traded player exception.

Murphy’s $27 million salary slides right into the TPE, which creates this starting lineup:

Payton Pritchard
Murphy
Paul George
Jayson Tatum
Mitchell Robinson

Bradley Beal and Khris Middleton are viewed as free agents most likely to sign with the Heat.

Both would provide much-needed shooting to further surround Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo.

Beal has long wanted to play in Miami, while Middleton would reunite with Giannis.

A potential trade framework between the Pelicans and Warriors for Trey Murphy III:

Golden State: Murphy

New Orleans: Brandin Podziemski, Kristaps Porzingis, Moses Moody, future draft capital

The Warriors might need to make a splash to finish their recruitment of LeBron James.

Gross. I am open to trading Murphy but not for that.

Celtics would have gotten a better player in Murphy than in Paul George. Should have tried and made that deal.

He picked up his player option because he’s a bum and he knows people think that.

I’ll never understand other teams’ willingness to bail the Lakers out of their awful decisions

The Lakers will now focus on finding Walker Kessler's backup on the market -- with centers such as Andre Drummond, Jonas Valanciunas and Kevon Looney among those being considered, sources said.

The Wizards took a patient approach to the start of free agency and now land a durable, reliable center to join Anthony Davis and Alex Sarr in the frontcourt.
