Its time to kick Jim Buss to the curb. It's obvious that big name FA's aren't going to freely come to Lakers. So get rid of Buss, bring Jerry West back home and give him full control of the organization. You are going to have to rebuild through the draft and through trades. No one is better than that than Jerry West
Jeanie is a bigger problem than Jim imo. Not defending Jim but the alternative of Jeanie/Phil would be even worse imo.
I think the Lakers have actually drafted pretty well the past couple of years. Clarkson was a great find in the 2nd. Russell over Okafor was a great, ballsy decision imo.
I'd love to have Jerry West back in charge tho but I don't see anyway that would ever happen, sadly

Dude did a line of coke off of Silver's desk, I guess.

Doesn't his son work in the front office?
Promote his son, give daddy West a piece of the organization. I think it could be done if any of the Busses decide to humble themselves for the good of the organization.

Yeah he's the director of player personnel for the Lakers I think. I'd be all for getting Jeanie's stupid arse out of the picture. Maybe she can go to NY with Phil idk. Let Jim have control of the business side and take a backseat to Kupchak/West/ West Jr. on the basketball side.
A 3 headed group in charge of all things basketball is how the good doctor ran things for the longest when Kupchak was Jerry's right hand man

Toronto will start regretting that around year 3.

Seriously them keeping their All-Star SG on a non-max deal is a fantastic move.

Why is he overrated? 3 point shot?

Not terribly efficient. By all accounts, he was pretty bad defensively last season.
Sub 40% career player FG%
The Toronto defense AND offense was better when he was off the court last season, the defense by a wide margin.
Is there any other player in the league worth near max who we can say the team was better per 100 possessions on both sides of the ball without that player in the game? Honest question.

Why are people clowning the Mozgov signing so much? Look at this stat line.

Wait, Jeryd Bayles just made the same as Al Jefferson?
Posted on 7/1/16 at 1:26 pm to Fus0623
A little less, but he's also younger and will probably have a similar role as Jefferson (bench role player).
