If they get a max Parons, they are still in desperate need of a center. They are rumored to be in the Pau and Dwight sweepstakes.

I would imagine if they get Parsons, they get Howard too. Those two are buddies so I would imagine Parsons does some recruiting

We also have to realize the $16-20M contract for a 4th/5th option will be the new normal.

It's not going to handicap any of these teams over the long haul.

Once the superstars like Durant, Lebron, etc start earning $40+M/year in their maxes, then the supporting players price will start decreasing.

reading the overnight action and LOL at teams flying all around to meet a scrub like chandler parsons and giant LOL at my rockets for sending superstar james harden at midnight to meet a guy like Kent Bazemore while bazemore discusses wanting $20m/year

i'd honestly rather my team take a backseat at Free Agency and make minimal moves than get bogged down in an awful contract for a mediocre talent like Bazemore that will hamstring them for years to come. I swear some of these teams are inking players to ridiculous contracts just to say they made moves.

Definitely, but some teams are forced to spin a lot of money to meet the cap floor.

Yeah I'm pretty pumped about that deal. Nice news to wake up to after going to bed mad about the Mozgov signing

There is really no penalty for not hitting the salary floor, it's more for appearances.

I didn't get this. I guess clarkson didn't care about getting the most money he could.

Mozgov is going to be paid more than Steph Curry next season. He can't even catch a bounce pass.
