Brooklyn Nets cap situation. Still over $40m in room left after the Lin agreement. LINK
Could be where Dwight ends up.

Wizards deal with Beal is done. 5/130.

Rockets pulled out all stops with Bazemore. Played for MDA in LA, w/ Harden in OKC summer league. Clyde, Hakeem, Les, Thad, Morey all there.
Why?
Trying to pressure him into a cheaper deal would be my guess.

I wonder if the Cavs will be able to resign JR.
Surprised Demar Derozan stayed. Must mean they are keeping or getting something for Bismack

I'm not. It's about that $$.

Plenty of teams could've matched, including the Lakers who wanted him

I doubt this helps but people need to realize this isn't the 90s anymore. There are no real benefits, over other teams, to play for the Lakers when the Lakers don't have a winning product. Mozgov getting 15 a year is ridiculous, but everyone is going to be getting stupid money. Bazemore, who I do like, is going to get 20 a year. That's like double of what curry makes. Someone is going to max out barnes. So while it's dissapointing, just be happy that we do seem to have a solid young corps of players who all seem like high ceiling guys, outside of clarkson, and we just need to hope those guys can get there. Because we aren't going to be big players in free agency until they do

They will if Gilbert lets them. It's a matter of if Gilbert wants to keep dishing out boatloads of money after he finally got the championship. He's probably going to get around $15 million.

clarkson, russel, and ingram look like 3 great pieces for a rebuilding effort, esp if russell gets his head on straight
moagov isn'te ven THAT bad for their roster. he won't demand the ball and will do the dirty work. if they get a shot at a better 5 in a year or 2, his salary won't be terrible as the first big off the bench

Yeah none of the big time FA's left money on the table to switch teams. Lakers are going to have to develop from within barring some trade where we fleece someone. I hope we put this final $35M to good use and put something halfway solid around the young group.
Maybe they will improve a lot next year being a year older and not having Byron Scott coaching them. Could be a more attractive place next year

I haven't seen anything posted about Harrison Barnes. Who is he talking to?
Posted on 7/1/16 at 10:05 am to SlowFlowPro
Julius Randle is a nice 4 too. Especially with that backcourt of shooters.
Lakers need to pray they get a top 3 pick next year, or else it goes to Philly.

We will definitely be better. Not like 25 or 30 win better but we will absolutely be better

4/50 for Clarkson would have been a nice deal even before all of this money came into the league

i'd honestly rather my team take a backseat at Free Agency and make minimal moves than get bogged down in an awful contract for a mediocre talent like Bazemore that will hamstring them for years to come. I swear some of these teams are inking players to ridiculous contracts just to say they made moves.
Welcome to the AFC East in football.

JR switched to LeBron's agent this past year. LeBron obviously wants him.

Bradley Beal has agreed to a five-year, $128M-plus max contract to stay with the Wizards, agent Mark Bartelstein tells @TheVertical.
