I think the writing's on the wall. I think the two talked and KD got the impression that RW is gone after this season.
You're going to lose him for nothing, might as well try to fleece the Lakers for Ingram and whatever else they can get.

If they trade for Westbrook, they can offer him more money than if he gets to free agency. Clippers are in LA, too.

the clippers don't have anything either. they aren't trading paul or griffin or jordan and the thunder don't want reddick. they have no draft picks worth a shite.

yeah, i've been harping on this. but is it really worth giving up russell and ingram? or sacrificing draft picks for forever?
the more i think about it, just wait a year. he's not stay in in okc after next season.

And what's the point in trading for him now? The time to acquire a player like Westbrook was before all of these major free agents made their decisions

Roles within that team will certainly change.
Thompson now will see less shots, but given his pedigree he will likely understand.
still I don't see all of the Big 4 hitting All-NBA status next year...despite all being Top 3 for their positions.
