No kidding. Would also ruin any chances of a big 3 wouldn’t it?

Do ANYTHING to get rid of Deng please.
Posted on 6/29/18 at 12:52 pm to David Ricky
Yes. And would add like 10 mill to 2019

LeBron is supposed to be friends with Bledsoe. Unless that's what this is about, that deal is panic for the Lakers.
Edit: the only way I'd like this for the Lakers is if they get PG and LeBron in FA to add to Ingram, Bledsoe, Henson and Randle. If this is a predicate to a Kawhi trade, it's a disaster.

Lakers could be letting Lopez walk, so picking up Henson for 3 yrs @ $11MM is okay.
Also, moving Bledsoe would be much easier than moving Deng, but they'd have to trade Bledsoe straight up IIRC. He couldn't be packaged with another player from LA without waiting 60 days. I think they could packaged Bledsoe with picks, however.

Bledsoe by himself won't be easy imo. Only good thing is that he's expiring

Henson is actually a great value addition. He's a good defender and knows his limits and is efficient on offense. He'd be very good surrounded by talent.
Bledsoe's injury history is the bigger concern. I just don't see him having high value either way unless LeBron likes him and that would get the Lakers close in FA.
If they do the deal and LeBron and PG don't come, they just traded Lonzo for some complementary pieces for stars that didn't show up.

Agreed. Luckily this probably has no chance of happening

Bledsoe is clutch sports. The trade to dump Kyrie would have brought Eric to CLE

Zach Lowe said LA is trying to find 1st round picks from other teams to offset the fact that their "super team" 1st rounders will be so late.
quote:
Sources at several teams confirmed tidbits in those stories that the Lakers are reaching out across the league in search of an extra first-round pick, indicating they would take on some unwanted future salary to snare it -- a fascinating twist, given L.A.'s need to hoard cap space. That alone indicates the Lakers are at least a little worried and interested in nabbing Leonard now. If the Lakers build a super-ish team, their own future picks over the next three or four seasons lose value; they will presumably fall in the 20s. Thus the search for others.

I'm sure they've reached out. I really doubt they actually are legit pursuing this. If they were worried about George and lebron, they'd offer the spurs Ingram, kuzma, and a first and be done with it. Adding future salary makes no sense given the Lakers posture on next summer

I will say, if they could drop Deng and wind up with a lineup of Bledsoe, Ingram, George, LeBron and Randle with Henson, Kuzma and Hart off the bench, that lineup would be pretty effing good.
I don't know if they'd still have Randle money, but even keeping Kuz, Hart and moving Henson as a starter is a legit core.
This weekend is going to be wild.

According to a report in the Sporting News, Anthony Randolph has drawn interest from multiple NBA teams.
Randolph has not played in the NBA since 2014, but has posted some impressive stats in Europe. Over the last four seasons, he's averaged 10.5 points (on 47.4 percent shooting) and 4.8 rebounds overseas. Remarkably, he's still only 28 years old.

I could see Dallas being one of those teams.
Randolph played with Doncic on Real Madrid, was born in Dirk's hometown of Wurzburg, and lived in Dallas when he was in high school.

The rant was so hyped for him. That 07-08 season turned out to be extremely forgettable outside of Brady getting canned.
