I think this sums up what rational Rox fans are thinking
It has been a weird summer for the team that was maybe a hamstring away from an NBA title. Daryl Morey & Co. have earned the right for us all to assume they know what they're doing, but letting Trevor Ariza and Luc Mbah a Moute go feel like significant losses -- especially if the recovery is based around signing Carmelo Anthony, who was very direct in telling the Thunder he wasn't interested in coming off the bench. They still need to resolve Clint Capela's situation, but assuming that gets settled, the Rockets will begin the season looking for production in unexpected places. That's something they do better than just about anyone. -- Royce Young

P like with most things you gotta know who to listen to. Whose opinion is worth reading. you are reading B’s post right now, that’s a good start when it comes to CC. Uncanny accuracy.

Young is a thunder tard. and apparently doesn’t know that cc already told melo he is gonna be fulfilling that ryno role.

His tweets make me cringe. Dude loves OKC.

Zach Lowe has said similar things bubba. Thinks Rox have lost their gritty physical defensive identity.
Edit: the exact quote
quote:
Role players might be fungible. Identities aren't. Houston has lost key ingredients in a gritty defense designed to ruffle the Warriors, and are rebounding by chasing the ghost of an all-offense ex-superstar in Anthony.

I can’t expect the National writers to know CC as good as me. Lowe is one of the best. Probably the best. But even he doesn’t get it right all the time. Heck even B doesn’t.

Bill Simmons was ragging on him pretty hard a few weeks ago on his podcast. Him and another dude were pulling up his tweets from the night George announced he was staying in OKC

Don't they still have Ryno? That's the issue, they gave up their consistent defenders for clones of the dude they couldn't play vs the Warriors.
Melo's big issues have always been lack of D and being a ball stopper. That's the polar opposite of guys like Ariza and Mbah a Moute, who played D and just took open chances if there.

Yes, because Simmons of all people has any right to rag on someone else for being a homer
And official today:
Here's to the Euro GOAT

That's the other issue. Ryno is a much better shooter at this point.

I got a feeling ryno is gonna be getting moved prior to the start of the season. Melo is gonna come in and play with Chris against the second units for the opposition and just dominate. Have their way against the Chandler Parsons, check diallo, mike Beasleys, etx, of the league.

I agree that adding Carmelo probably just makes things worse. But we didn't really have another option. We needed to do something, and the Warriors ruined the league, so who fricking cares at this point. If we implode, that might be more entertaining than any other realistic outcome.

I dont think any big man may ever dominate a playoff run the way he did for a long time.

Lol touché. He was more or less laughing at Royce for tweeting that signing George is “a massive landmark achievement” literally 5 minutes after it happened. Then they were lol’ing pretty hard at Presti’s scared money don’t make none line, which was pretty funny considering the Harden trade.
It’s a good listen if you’re subscribed to his pod

I am thinking Ennis is gonna start unless Daryl goes get him a big time 3 via trade here. Which I wouldn’t put it past him. Then have Gordon Chris Melo Gerald, etc starting off the second qtr v the opponent backup while the MVP is taking his breather.
wow they may win more games than last year.

27.7 ppg on 48.5% shooting, 46% from 3 and clutch shot after clutch shot. Was such a thing of beauty

This cannot be denied. He won me over that year (which is HUGE coming from me, as you know
Only time I've ever rooted for dallas in the postseason. Y'all gelled in storybook fashion that year.

Yeah, you better be nice to me and Dirk, I'll go sic dallastiger on you
I love the fact that it was my Mavs that got DeShawn "How's My Dirk Taste?" Stevenson a ring. Him and Brian "The Janitor" Cardinal
