Last time he shot 40% was 13-14 season, same time as his knee problems started. He's been league average or worse since then.

I don’t listen to what these people predict before the season. It’s the same stuff every single year.
2012: “Thunder won the trade.” Rockets make the playoffs and Harden becomes a superstar. Seen as one of the worst trades ever for the Thunder.
2013: “Dwight Howard is a cancer”. Rockets reach the WCF for the first time since 1997.
2014: “Rockets lose Chandler Parsons. Huge loss”. Trevor Ariza fit in just fine and Parsons career went south.
2015: “Rockets sign Ty Lawson.. they’re a legit contender now”. Rockets have a uncharacteristicly average season.
2016: “Dwight is gone, they signed former Pelicans scrubs and hired Mike D’Antoni LOL. Rockets are out of the picture now”. Rockets go on to win 55 games.
2017: “Chris Paul and James Harden will never work. There is only one ball. However OKC is going to be amazing”. Rockets win 65 games and nearly beat the Warriors to reach the Finals. OKC was meh.
Literally every single season the general consensus from the talking heads is dead wrong when it comes to the Rockets. Every single year.
This year it’s: “Rockets lost Ariza and Luc. They took a big step back. Melo sucks. Chris Paul is old. I have them winning 50 games.” And once again I’m confident the Rockets will be way stronger than people are predicting.

So, you’re saying the pundits are “due” for a correct prediction?

You gotta be careful with them, they get their wittle feelings hurt way too easily

No, I’m saying they are amazingly wrong every single year.

quote:Wrong. I’m not complaining about it at all. I’m just pointing out why listening to all of these voices chime in before the season is absolutely meaningless.

I prefer the team being underrated. It’s much more fun to watch them beat expectations. So I welcome the non-believers to give their takes before the season.

So Rocket fans are happy Melo is there?
Posted on 7/23/18 at 10:53 am to PrimeTime Money
Maybe Harden should come out wearing one of these since they're "underrated"

I'm surprised the Hulk Hogan of the NAO hasn't come out yet to defend his San Diego Rockets
